Ohhh just finally finished the editing! I wanted to do it yesterday but got too tired from overworking the previous day so did it only today. I hope later I will be able to put early access content for like a week earlier or so, but for now I lack of done content and time for quickly making it, so please bear with me ; ^ ;

Hmmm I guess from the start of the 2020 year I started to think to change my palette.
Before, as you may know or may not know (I actually have a video about my palette on my Youtube channel!)I had two palettes containing basically all colors I have. But I noticed that I don't use much of them and thought a lot about just washing away all colors I currently have and fill the only one palette only with colors I use a lot. And also fill it with the smaller blobs of paint so it will ...

A quite old character of mine (not like the age old, just.. I created her a long ime ago :D). I drew this hmmm about a week or two ago and filmed it, hopefully will edit and post the video this week!
I also got annoyed by my head always being on the way in videos so I bought a new table for filming (right before this self-isolation thing happened, but it still was kind of a dangerous experience! hahaha....). So... what I was talking about... ah, this illustration actually wa...

Thank you very much for any support you can give, it will help a lot and means heaven for me!
Ohhh Patreon changed so much since I've been here last time!! I'm so nervous!!
2020-05-01 14:44:16 +0000 UTC View PostHello! I'm just came back from my birthday Moscow trip and I have a little announcement.
Yep, as you may already understand by seeing the title, I'm going for a hiatus. I want to spend some quality time on designing my webtoon and Patreon eats too much time without compensating me this time enough.
Also I want to open a few commission slots soon so if you want a commission (like a Christmas present for you or your friend) - it will be posted in my Instagram (but will be mostly the same a...

2017-11-21 14:16:04 +0000 UTC View PostToday is a little watercolor paint grade talk.
There is two grades: artists and students. Also there is some cheap stuff that is mostly for kids and school and not really good for artworks you want to use, store, exhibit or anything.
So, basically, watercolor is made of pigment and binder. For artists grade paints paint factories use better and more expensive pigments (so it's brighter and clearer) and better binder, that's why it's so expensive. It has more lightfastness (that means tha...

Which brushes are better for watercolors? Let's talk about that.
1. Squirrel brushes.
These brushes are doing really well with watercolors when you prefer any loose techniques without pointy details. Yes, it still can do details, but its really soft and you can't control your strokes perfectly. So if you need to fill a large space or drawing large flowers for example - it's the best brush for that, because it holds a lot of water and paint inside the hair
2. Kolinsky brushes. After...

IMPORTANT: Please don't exit/change your pledge for a few days after the payment (because patreon has a weird interface and I won't be able to see you in the patron list if you exit or change and I won't be able to send you rewards D:)
Also don't forget to check your inboxes (and spam folder as well!) and if you didn't get anything in two days after...

My instagram follower makes handmade watercolors and sent me some neon watercolors to try, I'm having some fun with it. After using them even the super bright watercolors like Opera or Vermilion Hue look dull and not so bright ohhh my world won't be the same. Will post the result soon on my instagram with my review!
2017-10-16 15:08:19 +0000 UTC View PostA lot of people think that if you're a "real" watercolor artist you have to use super fancy expensive 100% cotton paper. And I want to explain why it's not actually the case.
Yeah, obviously cotton paper is very good (otherwise it won't be so pricey). But! it actually eats bright colors. You may remember that I told it in my DS video where I paint on Canson Heritage paper.
How cotton works - it absorbs your paint and water pretty quickly so you don't have a lot of time to fix some ...

Having the worst experience right now using Art-n-Fly watercolors for the actual illustration. Seriously guys if you're really interested in watercolors please spend a few more bucks on at least students grade paints, it's a whole new world. Here goes a stuff about liners I currently use or used? stopped but still haveuse sometimes.
As you can notice I mostly use red, violet and sepia liners, though I have a lot of black one (that just happened, they were sent to me to try out and I use them mostly as a writing pens). Why? The answer iss the same as for any question "why I use ..." - because i like it. It's a part of my style, when I feel like I have to use black one, I do (but it happens veeeeery rarely :D). 2017-08-29 11:35:33 +0000 UTC View PostDo you remember how I tried Artnfly stuff, was angry af about their watercolor quality but told that their round brushes are quite ok?
So, here is an update.
Yep they are ok but... for like 2-3 weeks of using (A LOT). After that they lose their shape. It's pretty obviously because the quality of hair is poor (so that's why it's cheap) and it damages by water and paint and process itself. Anyway I recommend to buy three-four better quality brushes that will keep their shape for months and...
