Hotfix for Windhelm Events

The last update for the Windhelm Events introduced NPC only support, but broke the regular Prison Event. CK apparently added some conditions by itself. No Idea how that happened and I´m beginning to question my sanity, but this fix should restore functionality.

Just a slight Delay

Sorry for the Delay with the Riften Events. But due to a slight misappropriation of a pallet Truck at work, I ended up at at hospital over the weekend. 

While my pride is the only Thing that suffered lasting damage, this kinda threw me behind schedule.

Almost finished

The Animations are done and the Scene is set. As you can see, i went for a cozy evening for the Guards as the Setting for the Event(s). All that's left is coming up with some cheesy Dialogue and writing the actual hook into PA, but that's the easy part.

The entire Thing will most likely be ready by this weekend.

Added NPC support for Windhelm Events

I´m still fighting with the transition animations for the Guillotines in Riften, So i was looking for a bit of a distraction and went back to Windhelm.

While the current version is perfectly capable of Handling NPC-only executions, you´d have to know a set of console commands to make that happen. And since I find myself coming back to use those commands, I thought just putting this functionality into a button would make it a lot more accessible to others (and simpler for me).

Sexy time with Guillotines

Some of you might be aware that PsycheHHH has a little SL animation pack available on LL. Which includes animations that fit into the wayrest Guillotine.

Of course, just being a SL-animation, the Device in that anim is just a temporary object and wont do any actual chopping. Which is quite a shame.

What has happened over the last weeks?

A few things actually.

The most notable one was the futile attemt to find a solution to the CTD issue when using Decapitations together with face overlays. Mark fairchaild was a big help on this and claims to have found a workaround which works for Special Edition (not confirmed by me yet), but For Oldrim, this issue seems to be impossible to overcome. we tried papyrus based workarounds and even recompiling the Nioverride.dll, but to no avail.

Fun in Riften

Personally, I would have voted for the small scale events to get some quick coverage for all prisons, but it seems you want to see something a bit more elaborate, so here we go.

Finished and fully integrated Windhelm Events

As promised, here it is. The Nonlethal outcome of the "Early Rlease" Event is now fully accessible. 

This version also includes changes to the Dialogues, which unfortunately makes Executaballs current voice pack obsolete.

Note on installing: Upgrading from V0.2 is not possible. You need to completely uninstall it before installing V0.3 . You´ll also need a clean save. Don´t forget to run FNIS, either.

something new! (finally)

Fist of all, sorry for the radio silence over the last few days. I got a bit over-invested with the "survivable" outcome for the "Windhelm - early Release" Event.

It took way too long, but it works reliably now and I think its a neat and unique alternative to just being dumped at the city Gates.

I still need to make a few adjustments to the percentages which determine which outcome is chosen, But it should be available to the Beta tester tiers within the next day.

So, i´ve been playing around with BaBoDialogue the other day and thought that multiple choices and outcomes for events are actually a cool Idea, so I wanted to have that too. Outdoor Scene Finished

While its not yet available as a Prison alternative event, the outdoor Hanging scene is finished and can be started via console command. If I cant get the full event done this month, you´ll at least receive this.

I designed it to work with 1-2 Actors, Player involvement is optional. Having two NPC´s get handled was something i´d always wanted to see in the original bad ends, but unfortunately, the entire thing was to poorly made to make meaningful additions or changes.

Quick Status Update

Fist of, the last Upload (the Finished Toy in Winterhold) is scheduled to go public in two days, which means that all of you can get it then.

Bad Ends Revived, Part 1: Windhelm

An unsurprising outcome

To no ones surprise, following the obvious path and continuing with the creation of  events was the most voted option. So i´ll be doing that for the foreseeable future.

Since there are a few finishing touches i need to add to the Base mod (and the personal need for a few days away from modding), i will start with this somewhere next week.

New Event And Public Release tomorrow

After Nymra did a short test on the thing, it became clear that there should be at least one actual daily Event. So i made one. 

Since its supposed to be only a minor daily/punishing event, its nothing lethal, but it will leave some marks on the player nonetheless (yeah, its whipping.)

I also reworked the health system again to make it feel more natural. the HP bar will now be a good indicator on how many hits you can take before being recaptured.

NPC Detention System and another new Event

Up until now, your follower was just released when you managed to Escape, which kinda felt wrong to me. Therefore, I added a small parallel prison system for NPC´s exclusively. (completely optional and can be toggled of)

It adds a small holding cage to every Jail. If you manage to escape and leave your follower behind, he will be put in here and require a Bailout. The amount of money required is equivalent to the players bounty when he was originally jailed.

Prison Alternative is nearing release

After some more Bug fixing and a rework of the Blackfades to allow them to work for enb users, I Implemented the First Non-Default Event which will be included with the Base version of the Framework (Preview above). I´m currently trying to cram as many  API functionalities as possible in there to maximize usability and especially inter-compatibility with other mods.

Prison Alternative - Beta Version Release

I probably spent way to much effort on something no one but me is gonna use, but the Plugin System is working properly, as well as the Escape and punishment systems.

This base version contains the Default Events and same very basic example plugins to proof that the system works.

Prison Framework mod is progressing smoothly

Dubbed "Prison Alternative" as a working title, I'm making solid progress on the Prison Framework which will eventually serve as a Venue to integrate the Deadly Furnitures into the game.

The main Goal is to have a System which allows for dependency-free and easy integration of unlimited new Events at any point. either by me or by others who feel inclined to do so. while i did only test this with small dummy events yet, registration and execution of such modules seems to work fine.

About follower support

With the prison framework, the question of follower support popped up.

Limiting the support to the Vanilla follower system would greatly reduce the overall complexity and chance for errors, while supporting multiple followers during prison events might of course be appealing to some of people.

Since I myself don't play with followers at all, I´m asking you about your preferences and priorities. whats more important to you?

Back to business

First of, i want to thank you for your Patience over the last month and also welcome those who have decided to become a new patron, despite the lack of new content recently.

As the title suggest, this semesters exams are over and the situation at my workplace has normalized, which means i´ll be getting back to a more reliable upload rate.

A Matter of Opinion

1: Copying the orientation of the player (facing the same direction)

2: Having it rotated by 180 degree, so it faces the player.
