The Tudor Party is almost over... ;) Well, not today :D I'm planning a couple more retexes. I'll pick the second and third place from these you chose in our recent poll :)

Meanwhile, I decided (instead of answering the people's requests to finally create a multi piece setup for Falka Armor or creating a CBBE ver of the Steampunk outfit) to launch another side-project :D

Hey there Habsburgs and Bourbons!

Time for some wip info on the retex. I just started to test some nice rose patterns on the black version of this gown. Looks quite promising. I really like the rose details but I will test some more patterns since it gets a bit too much repetitive on larger surfaces.

I also decided to do the underskirt and chemise sleeves and covers black to get a bit darker look ...

Poll - Which Retex Inspiration Do You Like

Hi there Habsburgs.

I gathered some ideas for retexes of the Tudor Gown. I'd like to ask you which one do you fancy the most (only one can be chosen). The one that wins this poll will be made first in September.

Announcement - A Short Vacation

I'm leaving you guys for a moment with the latest Elizabeth's Gown beta. Test it well :) I'll be back on September 1st with some more fixes for the Tudor outfit and of course brand new retexes. Habsburgs will get an extra task for this time, so stay tuned fellas ;)

Work In Progress - First Screen Tests

Well, I managed to do a quick rig of the gown ;) but the amount of clipping is enormous :D

 I noticed that I have to do some color adjustments since Substance Painter shows some tones differently. The white sleeves have to be brighter for sure and maybe the red has to be a bit darker and warmer.

Work In Progress - Materials Done!

Hello there Patrons,

A bit more renders of the mostly finished materials. Only the sleeves need some wrinkles update. What I did here is:

• redid the whole skirt pattern to match more in scale to the bodice and aligned the skirt almost perfectly ;)
• added the lacing gap boning and grommets in the back - I will have to add the lacing cord in 3ds max
• did some extra wrinkles and seams on the skirts and sleeves

Work in Progress - A Bad Day

Well, this is definitely a bad day...

I thought that the beta for the Elizabeth project will be ready this month.

But it won't, because my Substance Painter main file as well as the backup file for this model became corrupt... and I have to start over :/

Feel very frustrated and helpless, since doing the same thing twice is probably the most horrible experience in the creative process.

Well. Maybe I'll learn to always double-check my backup files when ...

Work In Progress - Elizabeth Gown Jewelry Done

I usually try to post an update once a week but this weekend is just full of surprises :D

Also, the jewelry materials are the last thing to do in most cases. This time it was the easy part :) It's because we've got only seven modules of jewelry here and they're like copied all around the model.

Planning the jewel models is always a tricky part 'cause if you do too much detail it will exceed the polycount limit for nif partitions (65k if I remember...

Work In Progress - Princess Elizabeth Tudor Gown

Well, finally managed to finish the last details of the model and do a nice FBX export for Substance Painter. Time to do some texturing and set up the materials :)
