In my feeble attempt to share more than only SuperBatobers all month, here's a quick Rocketeer sketch! As much as I'm a fan of The Rocketeer, I always find him kinda difficult to draw. I think this is true of any character with a helmet or mask over their face. Gotta convey a lot more with body language.

Wanted to draw Harley at least one more time.
I like the idea of a manic Harley: Tempered with a seasoning of sweetness rather than the other way around. Like, the littlest thing can set her off. Kinda like Daffy Duck. Or Donald Duck. Also...Howard the Duck...maybe? Why are there so many angry ducks out there?
Anyhoo, I also like the idea of her having a supreme phobia and hatred of bats. Makes for good conflict.

Was kinda nervous about posting this one because I'm afraid it's going to be interpreted as pretty dark (which...isn't wrong) but that wasn't my intention. I actually had a different idea I started sketching out for this one, but my wife saw an initial little warm-up doodle I drew, thought it was adorable, so I decided to go with what you see here instead.
I think I'll be able to repurpose my original idea for an upcoming prompt though so no time lost. :)

So I keep getting asked (like daily) if I plan on selling any of these and the answer is yes, I do plan on selling them! Otherwise they'd just collect dust and cat hair in my studio and that's no fun for anyone--particularly for the drawings themselves.

In related news, noticed a bamboo I've kept alive and healthy for almost two years in my studio has decided to move on to wherever plants go when they die (despite my best attempt to revive it with various forest spirits). Pamela Isley I am not.
Just one of a couple hundred clothing racks she has.
Including a quick digital color study because I wanted to make sure I didn't accidentally paint two of the same colors together between the outfits. In the end, it wasn't really necessary since these were the first colors I laid down anyhow.
