There are so many nice, subtle touches. Like young Cassian being so much younger than the other kids on their investigation mission that he can’t step onto the log to get over it. He has to straddle it. Also, he stays behind, clenching his fist. Just a small glimpse into who Cassian becomes. I watched a reactor get super annoyed with the conversation between the chatty guy and Stellan’s character (not much of a conversation- Stellan’s character said five words). He thought it was so stupid for the show to put in a conversation about how much it cost to park. It wasn’t frivolous. Nothing in this show is. I’ll explain when you get to know Stellan’s character a little better (I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say his character is important. He’s not making a cameo appearance). By the way, the guy who complained about that conversation wound up absolutely loving the show.

Definitely the best written and important Star Wars show given the world's current political climate, a truly thrilling and intellectual and sweeping show on how tyranny is both fragile and how easily it slips into ordinary lives little by little until the heat is lethal (frog slowly boiling to death)
