I’ve seen this several times, and I can say that, for me, this is the best Star Wars content I’ve ever seen, and that includes the movies. The first couple of episodes are a slow burn, setting up the story and introducing characters. Some people get a little impatient with how slow the first two episodes are, but this show takes the time needed to tell the story right. 24 episodes over 2 seasons, and not a single dud. Many are exceptional. Looking forward to watching again along with you.

I like Rosario Dawson so I'll probably check out Ahsoka eventually. Just off the first episode, what I like so far is I don't know anybody. Just our guy from Rogue One. I like seeing what goes on outside of the Empire and Jedi and light sabers and planet-destroying laser cannons.

2026-02-17 01:03:08 +0000 UTCJust a couple of things for your consideration: BBY 5 means 5 years before the Battle of Yavin (the battle at the end of the original Star Wars movie--just a way of keeping track of the timeline): this takes place 5 years before Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Also, the flashback sequences with young Cassian (Kassa) are not meant to have subtitles: just an artistic choice on the part of the showrunner to make the world a bit more immersive and, I suppose, alien.
