The "The Amazing Spider-Man" films have always been the best interpretation of Spider-Man for me. Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are simply "amazing" together. And regarding "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," I can only say that it's one of my all-time favorite superhero movies.

I totally agree about the whole inner conflict thing!

Oh wow, I just assumed he always knew how to board. That's super impressive!

That's such a hard question!! I love them all obviously, but I'd have to say Sally Field

Kind of a geek-chic Spidey, compared to Tobey's or Tom's versions.

I love Andrew Garfield is Spider-Man so much. I really wish this universe had gotten to continue. You should look up the deleted scene for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, with Peter and his father and watch it AFTER you watch the movie

The best Spidey villains have been the ones with inner conflicts. I think that's what made "Spider-Man 2" (2004) so well received, at least subjectively at the time.
Also, the advances in visual effects and Spider-Man's dynamic movements in the action scenes have come a long way since the original trilogy. I really enjoyed the scene where Spidey was wrapping up Dr. Conner's Lizard persona in webbing, similar to how some spiders do.
I liked Emma Stone as Peter's love interest, too. The story gave her character more of a pro-active role than is often the case in superhero movies.
This viewing was the first time I recognized Amber Stevens West as the cheerleader in the school gym basketball scene between Peter and Flash - gum-popping at the moment of the dunk!

Basically, Andrew Garfield learning to skateboard for this movie, and managing to not look like a complete poser, gets a thumbs up from me—it's a shame it's a blank deck, though. Would have been cool to see a British Spider-Man with a Heroin deck :)

This one is ok, mostly down to Garfield/Stone, but the villain wasn't very interesting. The second film is GREAT though for the soundtrack alone. I got to see it on the big screen for the re-release & it was, um, amazing.

here's the real question, who's your favorite Aunt May? Rosemary Harris, Sally Field, or Marisa Tomei?

Andrew's my favorite personally. He was more the smart-ass rather than the mopey type. He internalized just like Spidey. But I see the merit in all of them!

It’s crazy how each spider-man is different in their own unique ways while all maintaining good quality! Excited to watch! Andrew Garfield is a dope spider-man!
