First time I'm watching this version of it (have seen the other version about 4-5 times) and wow... it's almost like a new movie with that content added. It was already pretty good but this version is so much better.

2026-02-25 04:57:20 +0000 UTCThe original version, cut by the studio, had 45 mins less and cut out the entire Eva Green had a son and more, which made the movie choppy and weak............I saw that one 1st, then years later read the director's cut was a masterpiece and gave it a 2nd chance.............so glad I did, im adore history and epics of this scale.............

2026-02-24 22:00:57 +0000 UTCThis is a fantastic film. It’s truly an epic story. After watching this many years ago I was intrigued by the leper king’s story and read up on that history. Ridley Scott has an impressive filmography. I would recommend G. I. Jane (1997) because it never gets enough recognition, and Matchstick Men (2003) is a surprisingly interesting story.
