Serpentine!
Added 2022-01-12 20:59:34 +0000 UTCA few days ago, I felt the need to switch gears again - I hadn't worked on my Maya tools in months, so it was time to make some progress! And I have made progress over the past few days, although it's a weird case of being big and small at the same time...
Back in October, I started a major revamp of my tools, with a heavy emphasis on class inheritance. I'd mainly focused on my control class, but this past weekend I decided it was time to work on the next level - a group of controls, forming a FK rig. Once that was functional, I spent the next day working on a new IK class. After that, my next task was to write a third class that inherited from the other two, combining them into one rig. Now that that's working in the simplest sense, there's still a lot of code to port over or re-write for all three rigs.
Before I dive back into the code, between today and Friday I want to finish the one remaining pinup from my catch-up batch. On Saturday I'm heading out of town, and a job interview earlier today has me thinking maybe I should open my commission list once I reach my destination...

Kind of? I use Maya for everything, but once I've assembled a decent rig, I'll write Python scripts to apply it to other characters quickly and consistently
