Keyframed Photos to Video
Added 2024-08-19 10:28:12 +0000 UTCThis is outside the remit of what I'm doing really (since my goal isn't to approximate shots using other references - well, not at the moment anyway) but the results are pretty impressive. The software will take one or two photos of the same scene and generate movement through the environment.
I think the first example is really good, and I'm in awe of how it's perceived the background, with consistency to the walls and roof as they disappear and reappear behind the actors. Also the way its coped with the costumes as they've moved within the scene is pretty flawless.
With the second clip, I think the canon is nearly perfect, but unfortunately the human movement is uncanny and Ben's face goes very weird.
I've been experimenting with photoshopping together my own keyframes to try to make sure the system starts and finishes exactly where I want, but it's not been wholly successful.

The very familiar publicity shots seem to come to life in a seriously realistic way, you have a hard time believing it’s not real footage from 1967!
