2023-12-24 02:29:30 +0000 UTCYou should absolutely react to Euphoria, but be warned: it’s even more traumatizing than Fellow Travelers! 😭😂 Easily my favorite film of 2023. Emerald mothered real hard with this one. She’s stated in many interviews that Oliver’s “gift” is using his sexuality to get what he wants from people. The irony is that he likely didn’t kill Farleigh because he respected him and knew that Farleigh was the only person who could see right through him bc they were playing the same game. They also had great sexual chemistry. Emerald said they should’ve become boyfriends and shared Saltburn, and I agree! 😂 I also love that the violence and sex were both implied. We didn’t have to see full nudity understand what was happening, and when we did, it wasn’t about sex at all. The film is largely about desire, so the voyeuristic approach to filming really nailed it for me.
