I just finished watching yalls reaction of this show after having seen the show back when it came out and watching it again was just as hard as the first time. It's weird because it is such a touching and sad story in many ways, but it is one of my favorite shows. The story of Hawk and Tim is really truly so heartbreaking and frustrating, yet beautiful, sweet, and endearing all at the same time. It is honestly hard to watch and not walk away wanting Matt Bomer and Johnathan Bailey to be together in real life 🥰 their chemistry is honestly out of this world, I feel like it would be incredibly hard to fake such magical chemistry, but I digress lol. You two are such a delight to watch and so relatable. I balled my eyes out with you two at the end, which was just as much as I did the first time I watched it 🥹 I always rewatch my favorite shows multiple times and I am so glad I got to watch this one with you two this time around! 🫶🏻♥️🫶🏼

Excellent series from all aspects. If ever you want to watch a movie/series about the governments' abysmal reaction to this catastrophic disease, I would recommend "And the Band Played On", "The Normal Heart" and/or "It's a Sin." Each of them is brilliant and heartbreaking. Thanks again for sharing your reactions with the rest of us.

2023-12-17 21:53:28 +0000 UTCThe way they did Tim's passing, was so much more impactful. I could not stop crying!! I loved that Tim had a chance fighting to make a difference. When Hawk said "Tim is the man I love" I think we got to see him finally let go of the walls he had up his whole life. I absolutely love this show, and all of the main characters.

This show, from second 1, brought up a lot of feelings that; in my younger years; I actively suppressed or ignored; simply because it was just too painful of a memory. I lived through the AIDS crisis (I was a teenager) and I remember the AIDS Memorial Quilt display like it was yesterday. I remember how TV stations and politicians spoke about it and how cruel their words were, and that makes me relive it all over again every time I think of it. That scene at the end gutted me. Not only because of the emotional impact based on the love story itself, but because it reminds me of how much our country, and its people, lack empathy.
