For me, this episode was almost like housekeeping, bringing us up to date on everyone's relationships and getting us ready for the journey into the eighties. Also we've been introduced to troubled teen, Jackson, and I think that Jackson is going to be the "tremendous loss" that Hawk suffers, which was referred to in a conversation between Tim and Hawk in 1986, during episode 4, and also alluded to when Lucy calls Tim's apartment asking for Hawk. With regards to the future; I'm hoping against hope that Tim makes it into 1987 because that's when the first effective HIV medicines became available 🙂.

2023-12-03 19:45:27 +0000 UTCsaw an article from one of the costume designers of the show who said that “Matt Bomer and I discussed that maybe wearing the plaid is his (Hawks) way of having Tim near him, even though he’s not near him” - this explains why all throughout this episode and the flashes to the 80s we have seen Hawk almost exclusively wearing plaid shirts😭❤️

I don’t blame Lucy for any of her actions. I cheered her on when she kissed the other man. Also, she had every right to eat Hawk & Tim up. We’d all be pissed if we were in her shoes. That said, I know all heck is gonna break loose over the next two episodes and I am NOT ready. 😭
