Sunday piano meditation - no. 36

Hellou there, it's piano sunday again! :) After having two busy gig days, this was the perfect chilled start into my day, really need some off-time now after having so many people swirling around me. But it was great honestly! The concert on friday (I was opening for Ani D.) went much smoother and sweeter than I expected, lots of people showed up in the end - and Ani was very happy with the whole show, which is probably the most important to me (he absolutely nailed it that night!). Yesterday was way grungier - different location, different bands, different vibes - but I enjoyed it a lot. Roadside Assistance was opening for Mojo August. I'm very close with both - the attentive ones out there know that I'm usually on stage for the first one, but yesterday they played with a smaller setup, as they were just supporting the main act. I still had all hands full organising the merch, audio-recording, a bit of stage design, filming and doing social media... The camcorder videos were probably my favorite part :)

Now back to the piano piece of today - I have to admit, that I played that melody before already, during the last yoga class I accompanied almost a month ago. I was just zoning off, trying to adjust my improvisations to the positions and the intensity of the class, and started with this theme at some point. I liked it quite a lot, so I actually took out my phone, while playing, to record it on the spot, just to make sure I don't forget it. I also thought about just uploading the good 40 mins of recording here, but there were too many side noises etc for my taste (besides Giulia's yoga instructions, haha). The next and last yoga class for this year is next sunday, maybe I'll find a new melody there as well. I'm getting back into creating new songs by now, was having a couple of ideas within the last week... :)

PS: For the ones in Vienna: I'm performing at Stern-Atelier next Thursday! 12th of December at 8 pm (Pramergasse 5, 1090 Wien). There's gonna be a fireplace and Punsch, a friend of mine is supporting, another will share some poems and I'll play unreleased songs from the new album :)
