Have you heard of the Kardeshev scale? If you want an idea of just how technologically advanced the borg are compared to us, I'd say the Federation is a type 1 civilization by that scale, but the borg are at least a type 2. Probably more like a 2.3. They are definitely capable of harnessing the power from entire solar systems. By this scale, they are exponentially more powerful than us. That scale only goes to a type 3 civilization. But some theories have expanded upon that idea further and go all the way up to the idea of a type 7 civilization. On that scale, the Q would probably be a type 6. The only reason why they aren't a 7 is a type 7 isn't really a civilization. A type 7 would have to be whatever created all of existence. To our knowledge, the Q are still part of this existence. They didn't create it. They probably evolved in it until they got god-like. Types 4, 5, and 6 are all different scales of non-corporreal god-like species depending on how well they can control space, time, multiple universes, and multiple dimensions.

Q Who and The Measure of a Man are probably the 2 best episodes of the season. There are a few other honorable mentions, but the reveal that the Borg were responsible for the destruction of the Federation and Romulan bases along the Neutral Zone is awesome.

Are you guys going to review TOSMV: Final Frontier? I have to see how you guys take to a Shatner-helmed movie.

Welcome to the Borg! Great episode. It only gets better, especially where the Borg are concerned.

It's a little thing, but a marvellous touch is in the conference room after Q delivers his "this is a real as it gets" warning and then vanishes, the chair snaps back and forth. It's not much, but particularly with the ominous lighting it sort of underscores the finality of the "That's it, face it yourselves" tone in his voice.

the Borg are for a reason my favorite villains of Star Trek excited for the next episodes :)

Josh's remark about the interior of the Borg cube and 'The Matrix' makes me wonder if this episode played a part in the inspiration for that movie's 'real' world.

“Knock, Nock” “Who’s there?” “Q-who” “Q-who, who? “Q-who comes up with these episode titles?”

The call backs in this episode Q's former appearences and the neutral zone outposts. Also always enjoy the "I NEED you" line by Picard

Who Cares reallly

Let me say, thank GOODNESS you liked this episode.

As someone who watched these during their original run as well as many times over the years S2 isn’t a “bad” season. There isn’t much in S1 that’s worth rewatching (if Riker doesn’t have a beard, move on.) but S2 has some real gems.

Here we go. This is one of the episodes in season 2 I've waiting for you to watch. This is one of the better ones: intro to the Borg, the hinting of Q and Guinan's past. All good stuff that will be expanded on in the future
