Big D Festival video!

Shot by Ben Britt, which is why I already have video from Friday night.

If you've been around for a bit, you're already familiar with this act. Two things to note.

1. I always put in festival notes and intro requests on this one for the host not to spoil the surprise. The goal is to surprise and delight the audience with the things that go wrong. Throwing in something like, "Shit's about to get weird" in the improvised intro that was skillfully eliminated from the video does a disservice to the audience and to the performer (me). I'm a package about to unwrap myself on the stage, and hosts have a hard time not spilling the contents of the package.

2. This is the first time I didn't yell at the sound guy about the wrong song. I figured I'd shake things up a little. I'm curious to see how well you think it played. I may have to start shouting at the host instead of the sound guy if most hosts can't just read my intro.

I had a great time performing at this festival. I was approached by several audience members who hadn't seen the act and got to experience the surprise and delight.
