Several genets and civets on this page. Even some rough sketches of Mazia and Malech getting frisky, which is the spark that spun off into “It’s Not About the Mangoes”. I’ve rarely visited their village in recent drawings, which is horribly unfair because I know they’d love the attention…

And playing with the anatomical plasticity of dragons, I ended up with a particularly royal looking lady that I finished in “Keeper of the Mountain” (FA | e621). The level of size difference between the "Keeper" and her loyal retainers is the kind I rarely get around to drawing, but might be worth a revisit. And a (wingless) Charizard worked her way into the mix... Not sure where that came from since my appreciation for it is a little strained. I never picked Charmander when playing Gen 1 because my brother always did, and it was like implicitly woven into the ethos of the game, if you’re playing alongside someone you don’t pick the same starter. Which I now recognize for the bullshit it is, even for the sake of Pokedex completion. As with most things in life, it's better to follow your heart than saddle yourself with the expectations of others. It’s not like he ever remembered to trade me the middle evolution anyway.

Oh, and another civet pic is in the works -- not Mazia, I'm afraid but someone else who might be familiar!
