Public Release Version 0.09d and Dev Log 0.10d: TBD

So, getting down and dirty with Haily, really laying out a bunch of stuff for her. It's fun that she is really just popping up all over the place and we are finding her super fun to write.

This does start with the start of the weekend and we happen to be working forward from there. Haily C2 is probably the single largest corruption level that will exist in the entire game... but she has definitely earned it, and it's quite fitting too. That being said there are actually a few scenes that just weren't quite ready to sneak there way in here so even though quite the variety of things are going on there is still a backlog.

Anyway, now the changes are covered it's time for story time again! Really though, today I'd like to talk about feedback, and I don't just mean the feedback you guys give me, although now I think about it that is a fun perspective... I was told a while ago to never say someones work is shit.

Like, sure, their work may be shit... but what does that tell them? You are communicating that there is a problem with their work... and nothing else. It leads to frustration and pain and is literally the absolute bare minimum of useful information to actually solving the problem, not to mention the obvious insult. If you want someone to improve, never just say their work is bad, you have to tell them what the problem is with it and why you think it's a problem... You may recognize this as just plain constructive criticism, which it is, but so many people get so tied up that they would rather insult and belittle than actually help solve a problem.

Now the second part of this comes up and that's trust... something I've been immensely lucky with in my interactions. I have been surrounded by people who appreciate the feedback (and I like to think I can reciprocate) and we can all move forward together and improve as creators. I can trust that when I give that feedback, feelings aren't going to be hurt, and instead people will thank But that's all from me for today...
