I am so utterly impressed by how well they managed to pull this game off. I truly believe that there is no universe in which a shot-to-shot remake would live up to the original - the game is just too iconic for the impact to happen a second time. Yet, they've managed to bring back the magic of this game, acknowledge and respect all that came before it, and still keep me wanting more from a story that began decades ago. I've no idea where the heck this will end up going, but I can't wait to see where this journey ends.
