My daughter is almost 17 and is well passed these times in the video, and having her grow up and get into teen-to-adult mayhem while only seeing her a few times a year is the feeling I tried putting into this song. At the time I made the demo (just before Christmas) I was really feeling like eviction and homelessness were inches away, and the one day we had around then may have been the last.
