Provisional synopsis
Many kinds of species and spirits have lived in harmony for generations in a civilization that spans many colonized planets. However, nearly all the parts of their culture are based on consuming magic. Therefore different sources of energy, and technology itself, have been belittled, causing those who try to use such things to have a great deal of anger against magic.
