I mentioned it in a comment on the last post but I was originally gonna have Mack hack off his hair here. But people like his fluffy hair and I figured they'd come after me. I'm kidding. Mostly.

It also feels appropriate on today of all days to have Mack regarding his own reflection and how he's changed because today is OOTB's 9th birthday. And it's still not done! I would have liked to have something made for today but all my OOTB time is spent actually drawing the comic. So maybe just plugging away it all these years later is celebration enough.

Maybe he's looking at himself now and thinking about how he looked at the start.

He's changed. The comic's changed. I've changed. OOTB is not the kind of comic I would make if I had to start it today. But it started as a way to learn and it's still a learning process for me and I'm a slow learner. But hopefully what I've learned on OOTB will lead to a couple bigger and better comics in the near future. And I still plan on going back and reworking this comic. I even have my notes right next to me. (Don't worry it won't actually be that much different and the original comic will still be around. It's more of a unifying pass.)

At any rate it's hard to think this comic is that old. Granted I haven't worked on it for nine years straight but still. Hopefully it won't take me much longer to finish it up. It's honestly a miracle someone like me has managed to make it this far. I've made so much in spite of myself.

And thank you guys for sticking around to watch me make this thing. Whether you've been around since the start or just found it. Thank you.
