I'm one of the quiet ones. Hee hee. I'm a musician myself and just released my first single a week ago. This first release was super scary (and exciting) for me, but it's only the beginning really. I have to remember that. When I hear that you have different versions of your songs, it reminds me that this is not the only time this song will ever go into the universe. Down the road, it could morph, evolve, get re-released in different ways, and then come back to its roots. I love that you have different versions of your songs. Having different iterations of your songs keeps them alive and well in different ways. It builds new music-making muscles. It sounds great, Kina. I look forward to hearing more from your work with this producer.

it's a very beautiful rendition of an already hauntingly beautiful song. So, can we expect either a country or k-pop version of one of your songs soon?

It really is so different from the original and yet fits perfectly. Hearing it the first time I thought maybe it's not a style that I like, but I think with every time I listen to it it gets better and better and better... The first lines of the song made me feel a lot of overwhelming things - I even one time started to cry - but I also resonate a lot with the chorus. It makes me feel so relieved to listen to it, takes so much pressure away from me because I can feel it's the truth. And then the end is also very special because this thing of being thankful for all I have is still sometimes a hard job for me, even if I now it's the best and most important thing ever. Well Kina, you kind and special human out there, thank you a lot for everything you give to me (and everyone!)!

I really love this take on the song. The original version is perfect and best suited for the subject matter, but I think this take on it is so tasteful and builds on it perfectly. I can't pick out just one lyric that resonates with me. There are quite a few that hold weight for me. I've experienced loss recently. A handful of my friends have, too. The reality that we are only here for so long and amazingly sharing life at the same time to some degree has been on my mind so much this year. I hope you find your new normal soon!
