0.4 Development Update 10
Added 2020-03-06 17:14:06 +0000 UTCHey folks!
v0.4.1 went public on Sunday, and v0.4.2 went to beta on Wednesday. Working on 0.4.3, should be done sometime next week. This update will bring Lyriel’s introductory arc almost to its conclusion. “Less than two weeks of development” isn’t going to happen, it looks like, but “about two weeks of development” is still possible.
Week report. Spent last weekend doing Jenny’s CG set, fixing some bugs and resting a bit. Then more bug fixing on Monday, and had to attend to some personal business on Tuesday. On Wednesday I finally finished all the scene outlines for 0.4.3 and started on actual writing, then more writing on Thursday and a bit more today. Only a few renders done so far, but I’ve made some animation tests for a certain upcoming scene, so all in all, progress isn’t too bad, all things considered.
Overall, this week was pretty uneventful. So have some previews:

And see you soon!

Yes, the sprites for Naomi-in-underwear and Rae-in-apron just aren't there. I keep leaving it for later because I want to redo the whole sprite talk look (again).

2020-03-07 06:25:24 +0000 UTCNoticed an oddity in 4.1 (possibly earlier). When you go to visit Naomi in her room in the mornings (having unlocked all her activities and route) she's sitting on her bed in just bra and panties. If you then choose the "Talk" option, a 2nd Naomi appears, fully clothed in sweats, shirt, and sweatshirt standing up, in front of the other one (sitting down on the bed). It creates a the jarring sensation like she's hopping up and getting dressed (superhero style, between one moment and the next) just to talk with you. How hard would it be to remove the other Naomi image from the dialogue overlay for scenes when Naomi is in her room? I get why it's there for the other scenes. However, in this scene it actually takes away from the scene.
