2024-02-22 11:57:48 +0000 UTCThey had every right to be pissed at Amy. They didn't want to pierce Emma's ears, and they're her parents. Also, with regards to baby stylists and Phoebe proposing to Mike, this was 20 years ago.

2024-02-15 11:35:13 +0000 UTCyes i think its definitely a culture thing. i know in spain they even sometimes pierce babys ears in hospital. i wouldnt like it as i think it should be a choice and is unneccesary pain. i feel the same with circumcision which is a very normal thing in USA but i wouldnt want to do that to my baby. of course different cultures and parents preferences but to do it to a baby without parents consent. if they want to take the earings out than the baby has a hole in the ears.

2024-02-13 23:44:17 +0000 UTCif im right, pierced ears on babies is very popular in the spanish culture. its different in a lot of other cultures though and can be quite controversial. i wouldnt want my baby to have holes in their ears without them being able to agree to it but of course its up to the parents. its good in the sense that when they are newborn its less likely to get infected as they wont be playing around with the ears as they are swaddled but i'd rather my kids wait until their teens but its also not the norm for babies to have pierced ears in the uk where i am
