I managed a medical marijuana dispensary for 8 years in the US, in NYS, where a pharmacist is required to be on site and review current patient medications prior to dispensing. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen pharmacists catch drug interactions between medications completely unrelated to cannabis that patients are taking at the same time (often from different prescribers who don't work together and all think they know what's best.) Certainly can't hurt.
