Hey everyone, I have a (hopefully exciting) update for you all today. A while ago, I heard of this program called Dragon Bones. It's a free 2D animation and rigging software that uses a lot of terms that I'm not familiar with :/
As you can see from my first attempt at an animation in this software, I am not an animator, but apparently it is pretty powerful in the right hands. Here is a good example of what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twUz99ek5do
From what I know, these animations can also be exported in frame format, which can be imported to Construct. I plan on using this software for the facial animations and possibly portrait animations in the future. I found an example from some other video where they could make a 2D face appear to turn sideways and face other directions. That is the kind of potential I want to try in my animations, especially for the faces in the spanking minigame. Hey, it definitely is a step up from the blinking system I used in the RPGMaker version...
I plan on changing the current faces for ones that are face-forward profile shots. Ideally, I want to have an idle animation for the different moods (a pouting, nervous, blushing, and crying one) two or more wincing/reaction animations, and a generic talking animation for the spankee (Maria atm), and then I want a few talking animations for the spanker. Speaking of the spanker, I started working on the updated design for the original Spanquest Player. I think this is what I'll be spending my next few weeks on. Naturally, once I get a hang of this new software I'll use it to animate the butt, but that will be much more difficult from what I know, since I'll have to also animate the marks...
