TowerGirls Finale, Part 1
Added 2017-03-28 06:00:36 +0000 UTCMan I've had a tough week with artist's block. That's like writer's block, but with art. I just haven't been able to draw, and everything I draw looks terrible to me. All of my shapes look like hard misshapen cutouts put together by a toddler who isn't old enough to tell the difference between a square and a circle, and my colors keep getting muddy and dark. There are other artists right now who are pumping out high quality work in quantities that I can't comprehend. I really can't comprehend it. Worst of all, their entire compositions flow together really well, and I can't even figure out how to draw a room.
I need to avoid scenery in the future. Putting scenery in makes the whole thing take four or five times as long, because it makes me rethink how I have to draw the characters as well. I don't know. This wasn't a good time for me to lose a week of productivity.

Thanks. I've got a few stories that are unfinished, one of which I'm really trying to finish still because it is about a character I draw sometimes. I have a bad habit of starting stories and not finishing them. The motivation leaves me about 3/4 way through. If you don't mind unfinished work I could send you a couple pdfs. Let me know what kind of stories you like to. I feel like most people are only down with a few of the themes I like.

2017-03-30 01:34:55 +0000 UTCI don't care about accurate anatomy because I don't strive for it. I just the picture to 'fit,' and it's the way they shapes fit together and the muddiness of the colors that ruin it for me.

2017-03-28 23:40:05 +0000 UTCI think the only issues are the alignment of Boy Princess's back and stomach, Skeleton princess's legs and torso, and Knight Princess's lower leg.

I can relate (at least from a writing perspective) seeing someone else's work and feeling inadequate in comparison, which only makes it harder to get work done. In moments like that, I just waste time gaming to get my mind off of it. XD
