This was certainly a show

Glenny Lennox

Ngl, I was also so excited for this series because i read the book, and my expectations were high, not gonna say that it was disappointing cuz it wasn’t, it was an amazing show, one of my favorites but if I have the choose between the book and the series y take the book, cuz the book the storyline was way more enjoyable , like for example before competition they are having a little conference in the palace , and Khanin almost got badly injured but Ramil saved him. I was really expecting that kind of stuff, but mandee just change a bunch of things and just giving some references to the book, I remember in EP 0 one of the directors said that they have to expand more the story cuz the book wasn’t enough for 14 episodes and that’s a freaking lie >.< Not complaining at all just saying that they had the chance to make this show even more interesting and amazing but I just feel that they didn’t want to risk anything, but idk, I really loved this show but they could be done something even better 🫣

Also in case you are curious I'm deciding to write random novel (spoilers) facts here. Both what I've read myself (I have not finished it yet) and what I've heard What I've read: - First off all Khanin's biological dad is actually surprised Khanin is alive 😂 (they really did not show this well in the series omg) - In the novel the competition is not done by the children alone, but they gather teams and have to look for team members themselves on a certain budget. I also think the competition is purely fencing, not anything else they did here. - Jay is a part of Khanin's team and for that reason Calvin sponsors Khanin, cause Calvin has a crush on Jay. - Ava's trainer in the series is actually a team member of Khanin's team. She is a bartender, not a coach. - Paytai excels at fencing so much so that even Charan (who is supposed to be one of the best at it) is afraid of his skills. Charan asks Khanin if he can go against Paytai in the competition. - Paytai is a politician's(?) son and therefore has a high status. He is Ramil's special person (don't remember what it was called in the novel rn) and because of that he receives punishment instead of Ramil, because that is the rule in his household. We find out about this, because Khanin saw them and wants Charan to be his special person (not knowing that rule in Ramil's household) and Charan tells him about that rule. Of course, it does not apply in Khanin's household. - RamilPaytai hide their situationship from Ramil's dad. They sleep together whenever Ramil's dad is absent. I say situationship because they are not actually together. Ramil is in love with Paytai, but Paytai does not believe in love. - RamilPaytai sadly do not have many scenes in the book either which sucks. I'm halfway through the second novel and do not know that much. Their parts are mostly a few sentences and then it skips. I think they deserve their own novel. - Ramil is nicer in the novel. Sure he is still petty and jealous, but he wants fairness in the competition and when a statue almost falls on Khanin (which was a murder attempt) Ramil saves him and says he will help Khanin find out who it is (also because his dad is being framed, even though the dad tells Ramil he only wanted to hurt Khanin, but not actually kill him). - Ramil is also not that afraid to talk back to his dad. - The reveal of the dad not being dead is different, cause Charan and Khanin are at this abandoned(if I remember correctly?) building which Charan was told to go to via a letter and while being chased/searched for they coincidentally meet the dad who is for some reason with the group, which is so much better honestly. Because there is urgency during the reunion and the dad has to distract the group he is with so they do not find Khanin and Charan. - Paytai is just like the series Charan's student at his art school and Ramil is jealous, because he thinks they have something going on. I actually really liked Paytai and Charan's interactions I'm sad they barely showed it in the series. What I've heard online: - Ava fights for the throne until the very end, she does NOT withdraw from the competition. Apparently her own team sabotages her, so she loses to Khanin. - During Khanin and Ramil's final match shots are fired and that's where the reveal with Wasin happens. Wasin shoots the king and then kills himself (apparently). - The king does not get any redemption and is seen as the final villain. He is in a coma. - For RamilPaytai ending it is only "hinted" that they are starting to become a real thing.

My reaction to the king dying 😐 like bruh who cares about him. The fact he got to peacefully pass away pisses me off SO much. They're acting as if he's a good guy when he's not I'm so mad. Why are they asking Khanin about how he sees the future of Emmaly when he is NOT THE KING I'm 💀 JimmyOhm are such good actors omg the way Jimmy actually started CRYING crying now that is how an actor should act 👏🏼 Paytai dropping a bit of his backstory with a few sentences in their final scene is an insane choice by DMD I was like "wtf they do this now??? in the final episode in such an emotional scene??" The fact that was their final scene as well 💔 Like what happened after this to them? Are they okay and happy? Where are they living now? 😭 I think the painting Ramil was referencing was the one Paytai was painting in one of the first episodes at Charan's art school thing. LOL Chakri is so adorable him hugging Charan is so cute 😂 So many plots in this show have not even been resolved. Not even the mines issue. Like okay Khanin decides to go back to London to study so that he can help with the mines, so are the people of Emmaly supposed to wait at least at least 7 years (cause the study would probably be 4/5 years and then he has to first think of a way to solve it and then build whatever idea he came up with which takes another while) for this issue to be solved? like... they don't have to wait for him lol the new king should be doing something about it immediately. It may seem like I'm hating, but I'd say it was a decent series and I liked it, but I'm disappointed how the storytelling went. The writing lacked sadly. Still a solid 8/10 for me. Agreeeeed finally watching something that does not have sound effects every few seconds and an AMAZING soundtrack is a blessing to my ears. I am so glad the set design and outfits are not cheap looking at all. JimmyOhm were robbed forreal. Right when it came to the mines they chose tell instead of show, never showing us the severity of the mines but instead telling us about it.

I was so excited for this series to see jimmyohm and I was so disappointed what we got. Their chemistry is everything and they done them so dirty with the amount of screen time, they deserved so much more. They are my favourite domundi couple, hopefully they have their own series in the future. Also I despised the amount of hate jimmyohm got every time they had screentime, they didn’t deserve any of that. Ohm is literally besties with nunew.

Shame RamilPaytai! I literally cried too!that was too emotional 😢 they actually the one that made me stay glued to the series! Their storyline is so emotional!way better than the main couple!glad to finally see Ramil standing up against his father! He should have done that earlier to protect his lover! I loved them as a couple they were amazing together wish to see them together again in their next project!

The painting that Paytai was working on in the beginning of the series. Remember when he was getting lessons from Charan? He was painting him on a beach looking out into the ocean. He told Charan it was a symbol of what he couldn’t have. ☺️
