The conclusion of Mewn's flashback story and the resolution to whatever lingering love interest Lenette may have had for Boe. The Christmas Sunday comic replaces a different colored comic that had Boe and Pom making ammends also. The punchline was a "Bro no homo" kinda' deal and I really didn't feel comfortable putting that up. I'd like to avoid having these characters portrayed demonstrating toxic masculinity stuff...

Now that Coven is kinda' out of the way, Deacon ponders the last mystery of the Orb of Magicka. If the individual shards bestow powers of Despond, just what IS the Servant of Magicka then? How does this individual tie in with all this?

Unbeknownst to Fehr, Gavol planted a homemade explosive outside the room. Fehr is sucked out and a big ol' piece of metal scrap seals the hole after.

Deacon laments the loss of his piece of the orb (due to Rawn's amulet) and confides he performed the ceremony that would combine the pieces back, but the one piece he wanted went to the golem.
The golem (Florina) retreated to the lair of the Castmasters, which was magic-proofed and thus prevented Deacon from going further (lest he be defenseless). That's why he allowed Paul to escape so the others would do the job for him...

It's a continuation of some of Deacon's past. Upon getting the orb of magicka piece, Deacon is able to use his foreknowledge to impress the Corvus leaders to make him Lord of War (a title he retains for over a 100 years). With the abilities to be an influential member of the Corvus and Parliament armies at the same time, he guides the direction of the war in his favor.

It's Deacon sharing some backstory of how he came in possession of the Orb of Magicka piece. Remember when Wizard first tricked Coven into going into that mountain and retrieving the red magical orb? Deacon was there about a 125 years earlier, managed to take out that one sliver and gain the ability to control the dead essentially. This is important to him as it allowed him to be in two places at once from great distances (among other abilities like making dead body golems, etc.).

This new page shows us a glimpse of Gavol's past. There's a lot that's happened back in his home world in the Beren system, but for starters we're introduced to his first commanding officer...and their relationship was a lot more unconventional than expected.
We might see more of Gavol's past relationship/adventures as a new recruit in the Boscis infantry. We'll have a lil' vote and see what subject will be next in our NSFW series. In the meantime Brandon and I greatly appreciate your support ...

Wylla sits up realizing she's unharmed, except for the fact she still can't feel her legs. Vil immediately informs her it was him who quickly saved both of them from a death by dragon flames. This marks the third time Wylla's been saved by this peculiar gentleman and she's starting to question what it is about her that's so important. That will most definitely be explained more before this story's end.

Being the voice of reason, Paul persuades the others that they cannot help Coven and instead should focus their energies on getting Florina as far away as possible and alerting the Parliament forces what's happening.
Considering how Deacon left them so abruptly, Paul also reasons that he must have a means of getting that orb piece, so Blagden, Florina, Rapier and Scarrow should be on their guard.
In the end we see Wylla alive and well...
