Dev Log V0.5 - 26.03. - Ship Management

Hi,

today I spent some time rewriting the uniform system and replacing it with a daily order system. Here are the main features:

  • Orders are issued every morning
  • They include uniform rules and task for the day
  • Uniform orders can be issued per crew member and remain active
  • Uniforms have EXH, SUB requirements and mood impact

All-Access Tier - EA Release - Phase 2 (0.4c)

Hi,

after checking and implementing the mostly minor issues found in EA Phase 1, I managed to package EA2 Release one day early.

The changes compared to EA1 are mostly dialogue and editorial. There was one last minute issue on inconsistent BOT order fulfillment which I did not fix.

I pushed it to V0.5 to avoid the risk of messing up the mission system  or game compatibility with EA1 (see Release Notes on CR-0182)

For VIP, there is no need to re-download or replay ...

V0.5 - Pirate Base

Hi,


here is the first version of the pirate base interior I made today. Color wise I wanted to have a contrast to the cool blueish Iltari Station.

All that is remaining location wise is the cantina.

As to V0.4 Early access, I received a final issue today. Should be possible to analyze it and then finalize the release for tomorrow.

Hi,

today I started with the new location, the Pirate Base.

It can be used for trading and other business once our crew has gained access to it...

Some Concept Art

Updated my shield generators, as the ones in my last post looked like kitchen appliances ;)

Also reworked the colors for these and the weapons, so grade is always basic/red -> neutronic/blue -> quantum/purple

And it gave me the opportunity to use the Blender Bool Tool Addon... ;)

V0.5 Log & Status V0.4 Early Access

Hi,

while waiting on the V0.4 EA Feedback, I worked a bit on the V0.5 combat system. The hexfield combat mechanics is up and running in a tech concept.

Today I made a bunch of items required for combat: Shields, torpedoes and cannons. Design may still change a bit, some are placeholders.

V0.4 Early Access VIP Tier Release

after implementing all the Beta Feedback (thanks to Ryuke, Biblioimmortal and AdoringFan1981!) I did a full play through with V0.4 today and, with minor adjustments, it went smoothly.

Therefore the EA Release was advanced to today, just in time for the weekend.
The All-Access Tier Release also will move forward by one day to 24.03.

V0.5 - Outlook - Space Combat

  • combat needs to be won to proceed with a mission / travel
  • movement is round based on a hex grid with items and obstacles

V0.5 - Revealing Uniform Type Variations

That went quicker than expected, so I finished all four concepts in one shot. Was mainly texturing work, as the assets were available.

I personally gravitate towards D. It is not fully revealing, but imho a nice contrast.

The "strict" uniform type in V0.6 will still show ample skin (and leather).

Status V0.4 - 12.03.

Hi,

today I did the last render and finished the integration. Above is an unused render of Nimhe. V0.4 is now code complete and needs to be balanced and tested.

Due to a few last minute additions (mission management, bot arcade management, rebellious bot escape event rolls, ...) and complexity of the bot minigame added, I fell behind a few days. I didn't yet check for game flow and need to add a few proper balancing playthroughs to not release it poorly tuned.

I continued working on the integration of characters and locations. See screenshot of Nimhe inspecting her new Bot lab.

Decided to implement an unplanned tutorial quest for the bot assembly lab module/mini-game, which pushed me a bit into backlog territory.

today was quite productive. I

  • coded the uniform quest and artwork  ...)
  • coded the Lower Decks repair quest 
  • integrated all the Lower Deck locations (Hallway, Turbolift, Holodeck...) and made them accessible
  • added the Lower Deck ship minimap

Progress V0.4 & Release Dates

after the official V0.3 release fortunately no major issues, so I worked on V0.4 for a while. Main SW design items like new locations, clothing system, multiverse pod (= item carry over into new version) and bot lab are finished.

Changes are mainly minor bugfixes, dialogue updates and one larger gallery issue with two missing animations (will be "healed" if you load a V0.3 early access save game with this release)

Uniform Tryout (Semi SFW)

finished the uniform renders today for the outfit premiering in V0.4. Slight adjustments with the golden applications, as you can see.

Dev Log 24 Feb and Release Date V0.3

Dress Code (SFW)

Hi,

today i've been working a bit on the uniform system, which will be in V0.4.

Idea is that you can issue uniform orders on your command console in the morning for the entire crew, if every crew member meets the minimum uniform requirement.

And of course some quest steps to unlock that feature and make your crew go along with it.
