Development Preview-Release V0.4.1CW22

Hi,

here is a development release, which has all the new game mechanics included, such as

  • new crafting
    - stack-able items & recipes
    - multi-item conversion
    - upgrades for basic build items (Iron -> silver etc.)
    - reworked crafting UI
  • new quest help
  • new inventory

MC is pre-loaded with some items, intro activities & quests are skipped. It should also be save game compatible (but no guarantee due to the pre-loading).

Progress V0.4.1

Progress is coming along nicely. I finished several cutscenes and art screens for V0.4.1 today.

Here a small peek... ;)

On Friday a weekly build will be made available for the upper tiers, a look into some of the new features is possible for those who are interested  (75% of CRQs completed). Playthrough not necessary, all features work with any savegame V0.4.

On 16.06. V0.4.1 will then be published for all patrons exclusively.

Content Release V0.4.1 - Preview

Hi, 

I have started to work on an intermediate release, with features that did not make it into V0.4. 

It will be mainly focused on additional game art and will be save game compatible. 

  • fullscreen nsfw cutscenes with Irith during her day activities
  •  (side) image animations (breathing, blinking, ...)

Game concept art found while cleaning house... ;)

Some odd concept art I found while cleaning my hard disk. ;)

This was the original game idea I followed before The Princess. 

Loosely based on a ST Enterprise episode and featuring a Ferengi thief, who through his own reckless actions gets marooned with a Vulcan Science officer in a rural city in 1950s earth's Montana.

It was hand sketched and I was about 30% through, when I decided I didn't want copyright & IP troubles, so I shelved it.

Hi, testing on V0.4 is done, now only some minor wording / dialogue refinements. Release date 30. or 31st of May remains green.

Dev Log 0.4 Final Content & V0.5 Outlook

Here a screencap of the content & features that made it finally into V0.4 and an outlook for V0.5.

Items marked with V0.5P will be bonus modules that can be a added to the base game and will only be published for patrons.

The game of course is fully playable without as well.

If you have comment on the V0.5(+) features or on what should be in, please let me know. V0.5 content is not fixed yet. Additional items will/can be filled in the next week(s)

Version 0.4 / Status Update: Release Candidate Finished

Hi,

today I finished the release candidate for V0.4.

From Monday I will start testing, with only bugfixes, minor render touch-ups or text updates accepted as change.

Release date 31.05. for patreon looks green.

Attached a small WP for the wait.

Sorry for the rather low rez of 1280, but I'll get my new machine for rendering only end of July. I'll do re-renders then. ;)

Progress V0.4 / Dev. Log

V0.4. is progressing almost according to plan (some new items came up). Tomorrow I will finish up the rest of the work. You can see the latest content in the attached dev. log screenshot.

Then I'll be off for a few days and Saturday I will start the integration testing.

Behind the scenes / Irith Night Visit

attached below a "behind the scenes shot". Looks not very glamorous in the setup ;).

Due to limitations of my non-GPU macbook I usually work with single emissive area lights + minimum environment/HDRI lighting. All non visible scene elements are removed. Greatly improves rendertime (usually a few minutes at most).

Scene was made in DAZ Studio.

Screenshot Bathing Scene

Here is a screenshot from a bathroom scene. I decided to rewrite the SLU training progression.

In 0.3 I felt that it was a "cookie cutter" progression of the form "maybe I do it later" -> "OK, Ill do it". 

Now there are stops in the progression, which need to be overcome by some task. This is a screenshot from one of those tasks.

I hope this makes the training  less formulaic.

V0.4 Progress

After a busy week all relevant code for the V0.4 new game mechanics (dungeon levels, inventory, crafting, ... ) is finished!

I will keep next week for  implementation of story and renderings.

The release date 31.05. is  looking good.

Next week I can pre-release some art, but this week was only boring code ;)
