Peasant's Quest NYD 1.81 Released

She's finally here!

After much hardship a new version of Peasant's Quest is ready for release. As you may know already, this update mainly focuses on Victoria's story, but also adds more content for Gwynneth. Things are about to change in Weirdwood, can our little peasant overcome his toughest rival yet? A rise in station may be in the cards...

So what's new?

- Bumped up the game resolution from 816x624 to 1008x720.

- New font type for all text.

Alas, still no release. But it's close now! I have completed my draft, play-tested it, and bugfixed for days now. As far as I know, it's playable, but first I'm sending it to my dedicated game tester to have him check it out and write me a report on his findings. Wow! Time really flies when you're having fun, or are really stressed:-/....

Yet another week has gone by, but I'm quite pleased with this weeks progress. All the new locations are now completely up and running (I even did an unplanned renovation of an old location). Scripting wise I'm about 90% done with my draft. Another day or two of scripting and I should be able to start test playing.

Yet another week has past and we're slowly nearing another release. I've spent the past week scripting and rendering images. All but the last sex scene and a few cut-scene images are now done. The animation I spoke of earlier, is also done. This one features Gwynneth, but I've now decided to add a second animation, this time featuring Victoria. Status update

I've been back from my trip a few days now and it's nice to have some proper tools to work with again. But I was rather disappointed to discover that I had forgotten to pause all windows updates before I left. So my grand scheme of using my away time to render an animation came empty handed. A couple of days into the render Windows decided it was high time to install an update and reboot my PC. So that was 100 hours down the drain:-/. But I'm trying to make up for it by rendering the animatio...

It's a more gruesome image this time, but things are taking a slightly darker tone in the next update. The normal order in Weirdwood is disturbed and our peasant will have to face his meanest opponent yet. Will he prevail?

Hi all!

Hi there!

Some of you may be aware that the next update will mostly be about Victoria. But I also want to do a scene or two with a secondary character. She will be part of the Victoria story and needs to be from the village. I have narrowed it down to either Beth (the girl from the stables) or Gwynneth (the prostitute), but I will let you decide which of the two it will be.

Some are receiving an error related to a missing actor4.png file. Download the .zip file from the link and extract it to the 'www' folder in the game folder. You should end up with the file path: www\img\faces\actor4.png.

Peasant's Quest NYD 1.75 Released!

After what has now become the usual set of deviations, delays and miscalculations, I've finally managed to complete a new build for Peasant's Quest. This one bumps the version number up to 1.75 instead of 1.81, because it adds the content I originally wanted to have in the 1.71 release. These bits got delayed because I totally miscalculated the amount of work required. Heard that before?:-)

I'm therefore not going to be able to release an update this weekend. I need a few more days to complete the remaining images and test the build. I'm therefore aiming at a release sometime in the middle of next week.

Who is that beauty?!

Time for another statues report. Lately I've been busy scripting and working on that last scene for Frida. I still have quite a bit of work left on Frida's scene, but I prefer to start scripting before I finish all my renders, because it often reveals more cutscenes that need to be done.

I've already completed the most difficult/uncertain script, so I don't expect any big problems from now on. Unless I end up deviating from my plan, I expect to release this update towards the end  ...

Increased resolution?

Hi there!

When I started creating Peasant's Quest I didn't know much about the RPG Maker engine, so I went with the max resolution it allowed. Which is 816x624. This was also a bit kinder to my PC when it came to rendering images. Now-a-days I have a far more powerful PC and I know how to override the resolution cap. So I've been considering increasing it to 1248x720. This should make images sharper and increase your view range on maps.

A little sneak peek

Just decided to give you boys and girls a small peek into the next update and report on status. I'm done redoing all the old Maghda scenes, and I've also finished one new scene. Currently I'm working on one more scene for Maghda. Once I'm done with that I'll do one scene for Frida. After that I've got some scripting to do and likely a few small cut-scenes here and there.
