The Northern Air Temple
After hearing a story about surviving Airbenders, the group head to the Northern Air Temple in search of Aang's people.
It was fascinating to see how people use technology rather than magic to function. I do wish aspects of the Air Temple had been preserved though. It was sad seeing such a sacred place being decimated.

The Deserter
Eager to learn Firebending, Aang convinces Katara and Sokka to attend a Fire Nation cultural festival in disguise. Along the way, they meet a former Fire Nation soldier.
It was nice to see a bit of the Fire Nation culture that doesn't have to do with war. It's also a great plot twist to see Aang struggle with his skills, since he's often a natural at bending.

Episode 12: The Storm
A powerful storm brings up painful memories of the past, and puts everyone in jeopardy in the present.
We learned so much about Aang and Zuko's past! It was such a pleasure being able to get a deeper look at their lives before the show started. Seeing how Zuko got his scar and was banished was heartbreaking. Also, seeing how Aang was asked to grow up way too fast made me better understand why he wanted to hold onto his childhood.

This episode was much more emotional than I was expecting it to be! This was quite a sad story, seeing all the people who are imprisoned by the Fire Nation. I hope Aang can eventually save everyone!
