Sorry for the late dev update, as soon as I finished fixing the latest Alpha it was time to pack my luggage and drive to the airport.
So, yes, I’m writing this from my first “official” vacation since I started the game. Thank you for making it possible!

The patches only work on Windows and you have to get the right patch. Hi-res patch won't work on compressed base game and vice versa.

The update is shaping up nicely. Unfortunately, it looks like I won’t be able to sneak in a sex scene, but the first part of the new Cait’s arc is well underway.
Unfortunately, most of the scenes are half-done at best, so there aren’t many previews I can show you, but here are a few.

We’re preparing the Beta release of the Bunny Lounge with a number of fixes, small changes and improvements. It should be available right in time for your Saturday night.
Then we’re moving on to the next update. Cait’s next story arc will start with the release of v0.5.7 in June. You’ll get to see some new locales, meet new characters, and learn a fair bit of the world’s lore.

v0.5.5 is now in Early Access, and we’re getting closer to the release of the Bunny Lounge update. It’s still on for next week, not going to commit to a particular day, lots of stuff could go wrong. We already have 6 scenes (12 animation loops) pretty much done, another 2 are in the works, and another two are being drafted right now. A little sprinkle of static renders, and we should be good to go.

BETA 2 FIXES A CRITICAL ISSUE that affected all replays and the new game start in Beta 1.

First of all, sorry for the belated dev update, and second,, screw this. And by “this” I mean multiple updates per month. The exact dates of the next few updates will be all over the place, but on the whole, I’m switching to monthly updates.
Some life stuff happened last week (and even before that I decided to redo a couple of animations, just as I suspected), so the 0.5.5 Alpha only went out on Friday. At least the barmaids are happy.

The 0.5.4 Early Access will go live on Sunday, and 0.5.5 Alpha with the next iteration of the barmaids dream and a new event for Lyriel should be out on Tuesday at the latest. But you know me, I’ll probably decide to redo all the animations at the last moment and will push the release back.

First of all, the Alpha and the upcoming Beta. The Event made it in.
I think most of you are happy/going to be happy with it. 😏
Some folks mentioned that the transition to that event was a bit abrupt, and after thinking about it, I tend to agree. I know (most of) the characters’ thoughts and feelings, so their motivations are plain for me to see. For all the others, The Event could use just a few more lines of exposition.
