The dev build to fix up some issues is progressing nicely, so I thought I'd post it up for you to all play around with :) It seems nice and stable, so you should be able to have a long playthrough.

As you folks likely know, the current succubus model is... kinda broken.
She's also no longer updated and depreciated on the asset store.
So, as per the previous post, I bought a new succubus model. But the wings didn't animate. So I bought new wings.
The Succubus with the bat wings is going to be the replacement model for the current Succubus.

I promised I'd turn it on today.

Now, I don't fully understand how it works for you guys. As far as I know, you will continue to be billed on the 1st.
I THINK you can cancel and resub later in the month (which does mean pay twice) to get a new date, but it might be safer to cancel and resub NEXT month if you want to take advantage of it.
But it's here. It's on. You can now control your payment date if you so wish. :)

So I have a question for you all.
Patreon have announced a change that I can turn on. What it will do, is it will only take payment from you on the date that you start your patreon. So if you started on the 29th, it'd be taken every 29th, not taken on the 29th and then AGAIN on the first.
But, they also say that it will only take effect for new patreons. You guys will still be on the 1st of every month.
What do you all think? Is it worth turning on? I know some of you mig...

Alright, so now 4.1 is out, I thought I'd discuss what I'm currently planning with DF.
Honestly? It's boring. I'm collecting lists of bugs and working on fixing them as they crop up.
And that's probably about it. I don't forsee adding more to the mod as I suspect A21 will be end of this year. So bug fixing for a 4.1.1 is basically the current, long term plan.
The short term plan?
It's getting cold. I'm gonna hibernate in bed with my switch for a bit. ;)

Right, so we're getting close to the end of september, which was my rough estimate for when Darkness Falls 4.1 will go stable.
As such, this is the current plan for release.
- Bug content lock as of 23rd September (friday). Basically anything "minor" probably won't be getting fixed so I can work on the list I do have, but anything "major" WILL be fixed after this date.

I've been trying to get the lockable slots to save for a while.
Another modder, much smater than me (FuriousRamsay) managed to get it to work.
So, lockable slots now save, and are set back to what you had on game reboot. This screenshot? This was after setting to 8, closing the game completely, and rebooting it :)
So huge thanks to FuriousRamsay for saving me hours of smashing my head on a wall.

So B16 didn't have a massive amount of important stuff to push out, and the important stuff that DID need pushing out also needed a new save in order to show up.
Because of that, I wanted to wait for B17 to be ready, and you'll see why. :)

Alright, I got it all sorted. This was way easier to fix than my brain decided to make it, so yay for overthinking shit.
I hate myself sometimes.
So, I passed on a very basic version to everyone in the discord, then finished up the rest of the POI's... and here it is!
POI Expansion Pack (PEP - V1.0.0.2)

Go into /Mods, delete the PEP-POIExpansionPack folder, replace with this one.

Since insomnia is kicking the crap out of me today, I figured I'd put it to use and get some stuff done.
So the alternative to CompoPack that I have been working on has finally gone out to testers as a beta release! Everything is sized to fit into standard A20 random world gen. No custom tiles like the CompoPack team are doing or anything like that.
It just slots right in!
That was a lot of work, but hopefully it will be worth it. :) Our plan now, is to test this new pack...

Just a small heads up for anyone who pledges on here for my youtube crap. ;)
I have to wait for patreon lists to update on here to properly update end cards, do shoutouts, etc. That's the 1st (thursday), but I recorded all of next weeks 7DTD yesterday (27th).

I want to preface this by stating I'm not trying to guilt people into increasing pledges or anything like that.

The electricity/gas prices in the UK are due to go up again from October. Then again next year. It is entirely possible I might be paying around £500/month for gas and electric around Feb/March next year.

A21 is changing where mods are loaded from to the new location that's listed in the screenshot above. That directory can be a pain in the ass for users to find.
So... I'm working on a custom installer! I've got the installing bit working (and the mod loads fine from this location), but the uninstall bit is being difficult.
The hope is that users can just download the mod, click the EXE, install, boot 7DTD and play. :) When you're done, go to Darkness Falls Mod in the start menu,...

Unsure if this will make it into 4.1. It was more of a "Can I get this to work?" than a "I definitely want this in the mod." Also it's something i've been wanting to get working since A17 and I never could.
So yeah... Proof of Concept. Find repairable vehicle, apply X amount of vehicle repair kits, get working vehicle. :) We're currently in discussion on if it hsould go into 4.1 but would love to hear your thoughts too!

I got Sphereii and Xyth's lockpicking system working. :)
I'm not sure about the arrow keys/spacebar though. I may see if I can grab whatever the player has set for their move left/move right/jump keys and have it use those instead.

So this is just a bit of an update on what's going on with DF 4.1 and also the CompoPack Alternative that we're working on.
DF 4.1 is currently on DEV-B7. It's pretty stable, so it might be ready for a public experimental release fairly soon. I'll make sure you folks get maybe an hour or so before public, and also that you have an alternative link to download from.
That means I now have more time to spend on updating A19 compopack to A20 standards in terms of missing blocks and ...

Someone gave me a hint on how to fix the trader issue we've been having. Surprise surprise... it was compo pack.
So here's a new dev build HOPEFULLY with that crap fixed. Again, this is for A20.6 Experimental.

So Alpha 20.6 went into experimental.
And as expected, it broke DF, because TFP changed something and then didn't document it in the patch notes. Admittedly it's something that players wouldn't care about, but it's critical information for modders.
Yay.
So instead of pre-recording some youtube content, i've been getting a 4.04 dev build ready... which it now is.
