3k, and Almost 1,000 Patrons

Well what a few days these have been.

I genuinely did not expect to ever hit that goal, and here we are at it already. I thought, at best, that the new video would be bring in another hundred or two dollars worth of pledges. I thought there were a few people that didn't know about the patreon. Turns out there were a lot more than that.

No Early Access on Tomorrow's Video

This is a courtesy message that the video currently uploading won't have early viewing, didn't have the script posted, or credits at the end. It isn't a "real video" for the channel. One of its main goals is actually advertising the patreon, so it only makes sense not to make it exclusive. And putting the credits at the end doesn't feel right either. The video isn't thrown together--I put some effort into editing the visuals--but it's a far cry from a review/critique/analysis.

Zelda Video in About Five Hours

18 - The Witcher Plans, and Some News

17 - The Channel's First Year

My ms paint skills are pretty poor but I think the graph should be readable. I thought some of you might find that interesting.

Okay! So, that was pretty crazy. The view counter for the channel just ticked over to 1 million. 200,000 of that came in the past 3 days. Patreon hit 100 pledges. Subscribers is about to get to 27,000. It was around 15,000 the day No Man's Sky went up.

16 - Do you want Pledge Rewards?

Posting this to test how people feel about it. Feedback would be really useful.

I've thought about it off and on since I started the Patreon. I'm not adverse to the idea of making videos available a day early for people who are sending me money to make the video. I'd say anyone who pledges anything should get that, so there's the $1 or more pledge reward.

15 - Some Policy Things and Updates

The next (and final, hurrah!) Uncharted video will be out on Monday. I'm on the video part right now. It's going to be about 80 minutes long. I have a lot of work left to do but this is the part that I can sink a lot of hours in a row into.

14 - Finally Finished

The big Uncharted / Last of Us time is over. There were a few new pledges this week and a couple of people increased the amount they had before. Thank you--to everyone. I hope the video was worth all the time it took.

I'd say the average video length on the channel is somewhere around 30 minutes. So at over 3 hours long, the new one was roughly the equivalent of 6 videos. It was only on 4 games though. I probably should have split it up but I wanted to see if people preferred something...
