I finished up this painting for the game Book of Korvald recently, so here’s a breakdown of the process.

After getting direction for the scene in the form of a compositional sketch, I take the idea and rough out the characters and poses. Moody Nana

I've had this idea for Nana involving the song Be Safe by the The Cribs. It goes that she's in the midst of her occasional melancholy when a co-worker comes along to invite her out to grab lunch with everyone else. The song blares right as he asks how she's doing.

I put together a short clip for this that'll be posting tomorrow, but after spending all day putting this together, I think it's best to wait until I see it again with fresh eyes.

Ramlethal Valentine art pack part 1

I'm thinkin the final versions of this Ram are done. I lagged it a bit since the idea of redoing the swords for the Xrd version put me off for a while, but I'm happy that it's finally finished. I was considering a sharktooth grin version, too, but I really like how her face came out here - maybe if I revisit this in the future.

He did the rough sketch for the pose, I did a tighter sketch based on what he sent, then he did a pass of inks over the drawing for me to finally paint over.
