Dear Supporters
Welcome to the first episode of my proper supporter vlog; Peri/phrastic. I go into the whys and wherefores of deciding to do a vlog in the video itself, along with updates about Team17, my borken computer, Ladyfractic, and more! ๐๐น๏ธ
Your friend in retro, Perifractic
P.S. Apologies if the music is a bit loud or anything else. When I have a working computer to do a proper mix in future this will not be an issue!

Dear Supporters
Over the past year I've had a number of requests (most recently from patron Dan White) for a "buyers guide" for people wanting to get into retrocomputing, usually the Commodore 64. It's clear that for many it's a minefield. I'm therefore making:
"So you bought a Commodore 64? A Modern Guide for Retro Collectors"
It looks like that will be the next video and it's already shaping up, with the format being a sofa chat in the retromuseum with Lad...

Update: Video now live! Sincere apologies for the delays; it seems YouTube or the whole interwebs has been having some problems, but I went a different upload route and it worked! Oh for the days of 64K of RAM and a simple dial-up BBS to enjoy... :-)
Dear Supporters
Please enjoy your early access, as we see if we can play great games on a word processor! With some help from Ladyfractic of course...

Dear early access patrons, just a quick update: Ladyfractic had the flu this week but bless her, she still wanted to be part of the video, so although it's a little later than usual it will still be coming to you before the rest of the retroverse tomorrow!
Thanks for your patience in behalf of the patient ๐ท Let's just hope the Amstrad PCW didn't get her virus...

For the next vid coming your way in a few days I'm exploring the impressive games of the Amstrad PCW, and performing a brand new Gotek mod! Well, I say "I'm", but who would you like to see actually do the installation?
No offence taken...

Dear Patrons new and ol... er, current!
You'd be amazed how often people ask in my video comments about the tools I use on my retro gear. So I've carefully curated a new (constantly updated) list of just that, available in UK & USA varieties, though you can use the info anywhere in the worm I mean world.
Not only might the tools help you up your retrocomputing game, but they also help support my little channel a few pence at a time, so thank you! ๐๐น

Dear Supporters,
Here's your early access, with a little change of gear this week as we bring to life the incredible photography of Richard Parry.
This is also my first video available in 4K; you may have to select it using the YouTube gear icon. I'll be using that for visually spectacular projects in future.
As always let me know any feedback. In particular, photography experts, am I describing the Polaroid lens specifications correctly? :-/

Dear Patrons of a certain tier!
Here's an inside look at how the Worms cutscenes were brought up to date, and the challenges faced. I won't be sharing this on my social media, although it is live on Mat Recardo's channel. Either way, enjoy!
Also, nothing concrete yet, but it looks like I'll be donating the main machine to The National Videogame Museum in the UK. Better still, they're close to Team17, so it's kind of going home...

Dear Supporters,
Firstly happy Fourth of July to my American friends, or as I like to call it, Thursday.
I've been wanting to tell this story for many years and with the channel I finally had a great outlet to do so. Somehow this turned out to be one of my shortest videos yet one of the longest to make. It was great fun and I worked on it all day every day since Monday this week. I really hope you think it was worth the effort.

Dear Patrons,
The "Worms" video is nearly done - it's pretty epic! I hope to upload it later today or early tomorrow for patrons on the early access tier.
But it's looking to be about 25 minutes long, which does raise a question. I personally prefer to tell "the whole story" in one video, rather than splitting them into chunks and not getting to the point in part 1. But for those (rarer) projects, it means skipping a weekly video release to give me time to edit the whole pro...

Dear Patrons of a certain tier,
I mentioned earlier in the week that I'd have a little treat for you this weekend. It's not much, but you may have noticed the above canvas on my wall. This is a design I made myself, simply of my favourite retro brands.
I can't sell this for obvious copyright reasons, but I did want to share the image file of my design exclusively with you, with my consent to use the design for a poster or canvas. In many cases this is as simple as uploading it to ...

Hello Bit Biters,
So, one of the original developers from Team17 (who left the company decades ago) kindly chose to donate his personal and historic Worms haul to the Retro Recipes kitchen, including the dev Amiga 4000 containing original FMV mesh files from Worms 1, ten hard disks, backup tapes, Team17 floppies, posters, E3 display & pass, letterheads, compliment slips, and even incredible original Worms artwork pencil sketches that helped shape the game.
