I know my art is obnoxiously slow, but here's my longest singular post to date. Don't feel too disappointed in the conclusion. Pumpkin gave you her answer. Quinn gave you the direction this is still headed.

Superlong Comic 13

I finally have Pumpkin's answer to the is-she/isn't-she in the next comic, but it is fairly long. There's a lot of dialogue that comes out better all at once, so be prepared for maximum content on Monday or Tuesday of this coming week, and it's far more than three or four posts worth. I just channel my own father when coming up with Herb's dialogue. Very meat and potatoey, and more than willing to call his kids out on being asswagons. There's also an easy allusion/story-reinforcement to where this is going. I'm sure you can figure it out.

Next comic will be Tuesday, and I'll make it a double tier since I'm pressed for time getting Thursday's colored and worded in time. Fortunately doing that will get through most , if not all, of Rosemary's rant on Katrina. Thanks all. I'm not sure if there will be anymore flashbacks involving Ginger, so this may be the last. Regardless, I will say her feud with, and ultimate departure of Ginger in the home caused her hair to go gray.

I debated Rosemary pulling her hair, or yanking her by the ear or collar, or just cutting to them outside... but the family inclination to punish-by-hair seemed too important.

314- Fullsize Master PSD File This includes all layers used to make comic "314- Eventually" for anyone owning Photoshop and feeling some strange urge to play with the layers or dissect a Shotgun Shuffle comic. I was forced to merge the word bubbles and some of the backgrounds together to get this file under the 100MB threshold, but what you'd really need is all still there. The most humorous thing to me is just going down the layers and clicking them all off is like watching a department stor...

Cast Swatches

You can create your own swatch galleries in Photoshop, but I still prefer to have a hard copy. After all the shading and gradients are laid on the final version of the comic, it's hard to draw from previous strips directly for the colors I need. Once I started the poster, I worked on creating a master swatch backup file simultaneously. For fun, here's most of the original flat colors.

313- Making Friends

This comic has the return of two minor characters. Katrina, who was the social police from Voices of Dissent 1 & 2, and Damien, not seen since Alex's art class. Damien isn't all that important to the comic, nor is his company, so don't be fooled. Katrina is the important character we're taking into Chapter 4.
