So yeah Emrys killed 50 ghouls with black tentacles. That was substantially more in one go than I was expecting, enough to get multiple bloodshed perks in one night. SO. I decided, instead of choosing 3 feats how about he get one big boon? Don’t expect anything this huge any time soon. Though I suppose that if he REALLY wanted another he could try arranging an orgy with 21 women after sleeping with Sandara. I’m not actually sure what the horny version of this poll would be…

Chapter 51: At Least Plugg is Cooperating

In which Emrys asserts dominance without T-Posing,

Emrys will be picking up a Puppet conjuration companion. It will follow his instructions completely, and in most cases won’t have any ability to act independently without using Autopilot’s actions every round. Autopilot can summon it at will, unless it gets killed in which case it will reset after a long rest. What kind of puppet?

Violent perk 3

A bunch of ghouls will need to die before we get off this island, especially if we are going to loot the shit out of it. It is very likely at least one of those ghouls will die by Emrys’s hand, getting him another perk for Slayer of a Thousand Men. These will progressively slow down, given time, but are still coming out strong.

Emrys is waking up in 6 hours with the ability to summon 4HD outsiders. For obvious reasons, he’s going to be calling in the toughest bastards he can. Shame this is the lineup that a bunch of knowledge checks was able to furnish him with. This poll is for general interest, not just the immediate situation. Ok. Everyone in the crew knows how big a deal Emrys is. He’s the leader, and could probably take the role of captain. Only problem: Emrys doesn’t actually have any ranks in Profession: Sailor, and Curtis doesn’t know dick about ships either. So.  What is he going to do on the ship?

Next chapter coming out later today, but I thought I’d bring out this week’s poll a little early. It’s a big one.

There are quite a few potential directions for the party to go in once they’ve left the island. Curtis will definitely leave Bonewrack eventually, even if only to bring Owlbear home. What will his mission log start demanding when he does?

Level 2 Spells

Emrys isn’t level 4 yet, but he’s likely to hit that level at the same time as a lot of other stuff happening. As such, I’m asking now: What will be his first level 2 spell.

Stone Discus: And then I threw a rock at him. Launch a magical stone disk at a target. It does 4d6 damage, and will eventually (at high level) scale to launch more disks that can bypass DR and Hardness. Incidentally, this is the same amount of damage done by a spell-slot empowered frost blast.

What do we do after we finish the rescue?

For better or worse, the party will have dealt with the grindylows and saved everyone they could save by next chapter. So… what then?

Go out of their way to loot the caverns before leaving. It risks additional injury from traps or stragglers, and you might be trapped by high tide, but these grindylows almost certainly have some treasure squirreled away here and there.

Clear out the caverns and find a safe place to rest there.
