sad news

i tried with two different data recovery services and they both told me that the songs i need back are not recoverable. some of them i can still work with the fact that i kept a draft mp3 bounce, but some of them i would have had to basically restart from scratch. this is obviously really upsetting and i don’t plan on revisiting those songs, at least any time soon. for now the main focus will be brand new music and older music that wasn’t lost in the fire.

in the middle of february I made a horrible mistake and accidentally deleted the entire "works in progress" folder on my computer that contains every unfinished song across all of my projects (most of them at least, still amounting to over 80 GB of project sessions). Liminal Dream - Amanecer

created february 29th 2016. no lyrics or vocals. from what I remember this song might be about a personal sunrise (amanecer means "dawn" or "sunrise" or "to wake up" in spanish). I had a pretty traumatic experience in february of that year and this was probably me trying to find a new light and personal mental growth out of negative feelings and mindsets. either that or I imagined a special moment with someone watching the sun rise over the ocean
