We know. No puffy Pope Smoke. Bret feels recovered and robust but his voice had remained totally shot... UNTIL NOW. We've had to reschedule multiple guests but Bret's back in the saddle with two tapings this week, so: To make up for the podcast's lack of recent action due to Bret's Bad British Virus, we're gonna double our output over the next three weeks. Yes. You will get TWO new episodes (posted a few days apart) weekly. There will be guests you have long wanted and Question/Answer episodes you have desperately needed. So don't worry. The comeback is coming. He'll be back. We love you all... Except whoever passed this virus to Bret over in England. You can go straight to hell.

Oscar week is here, and a recovering Bret remains the odds-on favorite to walk away with the statuette for Best Adapted Illness (Foreign). Whilst His golden voice is fast returning to podcast form, last week's recording session with a director was postponed by Bret's voided larynx, thus: no new episode this week. We're sorry. We'll make it up to you. Promise. Our next recording session is still days away and Bret's current vital signs and viral load panels all point to this taping, with an actor guest, taking place as scheduled. Prognosis: Positive. Once the next conversation has been sonically secured we shall post a photograph of puffy white Pope Smoke to mark the sacred occasion, then we'll get the show ready and posted for you ASAP. Stay patient. Bret's coming back. The resurrection is afoot. Deus te amat, and we do too.

Bret spent a few days in Dear Old Blighty last week and sadly returned to Los Angeles with a dastardly British bug stowing away in his chest. We gave it our best but there can be no new episode this week. We're bummed but the lad simply has no voice, and that's not cricket or whatever. He's well on the jolly good mend though and will be taping with a guest in a few days' time so worry not, a fab new episode will be yours next week. God Save The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast. We love ye.
