I struggled with her proportions here, and I learned (too late for this pic!) about the importance of colour contrast. Still, I hope it gives a little insight into how our overfed fund manager spent her days pre-lockdown. Very much a Samster-esque setting, I feel.

Well, what crazy times we live in. I hope everyone is staying safe and well.

I'm doing fine myself, though work has been pretty chaotic. We started working from home last week, but many of our clients have been heavily affected by the economic consequences of the pandemic. Combined with the fact with the Government is announcing new measures for businesses almost every day, I've been incredibly busy. Didn't finish work until after 10pm yesterday. A happy belated new year from me, and from Kari & her friend Michelle. Two wealthy young socialites whose fashionably fat behinds are stretching their party skirts to the limit after a heavily indulgent festive season.

Indeed, this proved to be one party too many for Kari, whose two weeks of non-stop drinking and eating rich food finally caught up with her. $4+ patrons will get to see how she was feeling the morning after.

I hope we're all hunky dory and have had a fun summer. For me, work has been busy and I've had a few impromptu weekends away (my equivalent of a summer holiday). As a result, there was no charged-for post in August. I've a handful of pieces of writing that aren't far off finished, but I didn't want to rush one through.

Now we're in the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, and more to the point cooler weather, I should be able to get them polished off...

Upcoming stories (and pics)

Neil Gaiman advises writers to have multiple projects on the go at once. That way, if you get stuck with one, you can pivot to another rather than creating a head-shaped dent in the keyboard. I've found this to be good advice, and there are always a handful of stories I'm dabbling with alongside the main Lady wot lunched series.
