Dr. Britt Baker DMD rumor update

Dr. Britt Baker is off AEW TV....but still in AEW.

This week, Jonathan Coachman on this podcast Behind the Turnbuckle:

“Alright, so I just got this in real time. You guys know, I’ve just been breaking news left and right, and when it’s in context, I have yet to be wrong,” Coachman teased. “So, I just found out there’s a name, a female name, out there that is this close to signi...

American Gladiators update

American Gladiators is officially rebooted, and with a unique cast of talent.

OVW stars J-Rod and Jessie Godderz were set, as well as former wrestler Eric Bugenhagen. In addition, long absent AEW stars Wardlow and Kamille were revealed. This raised eyebrows because longtime WWE star Miz will be hosting. There had been reports that one side had raised issues with the mix of talent, but we’ve not heard that.

We exhausted sources within WWE, who said that they hadn’t he...

When will orange cassidy be back?

I haven't heard definitively if he's underwent surgery or not, but the fear was that he had a torn pectoral muscle. If that's the case, there's a good chance he'd be out until the end o...

WWE Evolve Talent Impressing Officials

An EVOLVE talent has impressed many in WWE.

Fightful Select spoke to sources in WWE that indicated that Kali Armstrong has turned heads of late, especially while working the recent EVOLVE tapings. There were people within the company who gave her high marks, as far as saying she could be a “future WrestleMania main eventer.”

Those that we heard from also said that she has already been discussed for a full on call up to the NXT roster. It was expected that she should get ...

Alex & Kate's SOUR GRAPS: Raw 6/16 | Shouldering Responsibility

Asuka is back, and that doesn't suck.

Everything else, though?
Goldberg getting a title match vs Gunther? Sucks.
Gunther retreating in fear from Goldberg? Super sucks.
Liv dislocating her shoulder during a simple drop toe hold bump? Super DUPER sucks.

And we don't even know if The Yeet Man will win his pity party Fatal 4 Way in the main event.
If he does? That sucks as well.

Everything sucks. Let's talk about it.

Another wrestler was considered for American Gladiators

Another pro wrestler was in the running for American Gladiators.

Fightful Select reported recently that Jessie Godderz and Rick Boogs were set for the upcoming American Gladiators reboot, which later revealed J Rod, Kamille and Wardlow would also be participating in. However, they weren’t the only ones considered.

Fightful Select has learned that OVW talent Freya the Slaya was also considered late last year for a role and had a tryout. However, producers didn’t end up picking ...

AEW injury update

We have a Jamie Hayter update.

Hayter had a standout match against Mercedes Mone at AEW Double or Nothing that immediately had fans asking about her physical status.

When Fightful reached out, Hayter told us she was okay, and worked an angle with Thekla on that week's Dynamite.

Since then, Hayter hasn't appeared, and wasn't at this past week's Dynamite. Sources in the company said that Hayter would be booked if she were available and indicated she hasn't been cleared. We don...

A very "no duh" story, but here it is!

A foregone conclusion was effectively confirmed.

Damage CTRL was quietly disbanded. Fightful Select asked for details behind the decision, and were told that the internal decision was made in early May, when Dakota Kai was officially released. The note to no longer announce the remaining members as “representing Damage CTRL” was handed down around then.

With Bayley split from the group, Dakota Kai released, Asuka still sidelined, and Kairi Sane recovering at the time, th...

AroLucha email on dissolution

You all may remember the AroLucha company that we covered and even sarcastically invested in years ago.

Last week, Fightful, as investors, got an official notice of dissolution. Within a year of "investing," Fightful was getting requests to also invest in CBD products. The company then tried to "rebrand" to a cartoon.

In 2024, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp made an inquiry regarding purchasing the library of AroLucha, but didn't get a response.

A number of years ago, Sapp reached...

However, Fightful learned in early June that WWE at least had preliminary interest in the duo, before the frame of reference regarding their contracts ...

How one move in TNA became more policed

A series of slaps at TNA Under Siege ended up contributing to one of the rule changes handed down by the company recently.

During the Arianna Grace vs. Tessa Blanchard match, Blanchard delivered a slap to the NXT talent, who then returned one.

The next day, a memo went out to TNA talent indicating that any slaps in matches must have the approval of an agent. We haven’t heard what specifically led to this outside of the fact that it was brought on from the match.
