AEW talent taking absence.

A top AEW talent is taking time off.

Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed that Darby Allin has been off the road of late and hasn't been at AEW TV. We're told that Allin has started his training for Mt. Everest, and isn't expected back for months.

Allin last competed at the December 22 AEW Dynamite in a time limit draw against Ricochet. The word internally was that Allin would be slated for a push upon his returns, which would not be expected until the spring.

NJPW approached a number of talent for new deals

A number of New Japan Pro Wrestling talent have contracts coming up, which seems to happen yearly.

Every December and January, a large number of NJPW contracts come due, as the majority are through the end of January each year. This has at times led to some mass exodus departures from the company that put them in the position to create new stars.

Those that we’ve spoken to said that they always feel it’s a concentrated effort on NJPW’s part to approach talent late and ...

KO is truly incapable of not telling the truth isn’t he? He got to call Phony Cody on all of his BS tonight, which of course made Cody very angry.

Not as angry as Jacob Fatu is at LA Knight, who stuck his nose where it didn’t belong tonight, and is sure to suffer the consequences.

Elsewhere, we got two US Title defenses, one for each gender, and a new #1 Contender crowned for the new women’s champ.

Now let’s watch the main event together, which consists of a Cody-led...

Additional Info on Cody Rhodes vs. Rock

Cody Rhodes vs. The Rock is not the plan for WrestleMania, in case you were holding out hope.

Fightful Select learned in November that the plan in motion had been John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes, which was a match that those close to Cody Rhodes had actually hoped for in years past. This plan was enacted because WWE didn't expect The Rock to compete at WrestleMania to prepare in the event he couldn't.

We'd reported a while back that Cody Rhodes was at the Moana premiere and the two had ...
