Got a bit behind with posting for this, but we'll be back on track with Volume.09 tomorrow. I've been playing cleanup to the translation I did for this volume forever ago and kept rechanging names. I don't think I have any stupid gaffes left in this. For those following along at home, yes the moniker in this is "Six Merquise," not Sith, as it's long been "established." Sumizawa even explains that it's Six (though there is a slight loss in the translation here given the Japanese pronunciation ...

This was later reprinted in Gundam Generation 1. At this point there's only a couple of entries left from that book. I'll try wrapping it up this year for everyone.

Continuing on with the previous issues short, we're gifted with what's likely one of the "first" mobile suit engagements in history (at least at the time this was penned back in '89). While I'd like to say this is supposed to be Steiner from Gundam 0080, the name obviously doesn't match when all is said and done.

Technically the fourth entry in the Top Gundam series, we have a neat little story about a crew getting the best of the filthy Zeon monkeys shortly after the battle of Loum. Unlike the first two entries in the series, this particular entry doesn't follow the Top Gun school analogy.

I normally only stick to story material, so translating all the Gunpla talk was a brain drain, but that's what the patron wanted! Okay, so... well, I'm at a loss for what to say about this. This was probably one of the most challenging nonsensical things I've ever translated for Gundam. I apologize for not posting manga over the past week, but I was initially commissioned to translate the 0083 Blu-ray booklet, only to get shafted in the end with Paypal clawing back the payment someone made! Frustrations aside, I figured I'd dump it here for everyone else to enjoy.
