Nameless Poster Design

Doodled an idea for a sellable poster this past weekend and took a moment to rough out some gradients to lay out some basic colours/shading.

There's still some design choices I need to make before I continue however.

Anatomy and Dynamic poses

I looked back at all of my drawings and saw how angular and sharp pointed everything was. I liked the style, but I saw how I can change it to be better. By adding weight to characters, I'm able to focus more on form and dynamic/interesting poses to show off the character as well as improve myself as well. I will be drawing some rather "large" (fatter) characters as well to practice more on body types.

March Reward [ Lineart ]

I have uploaded both PTSai and PS CS6 versions of the lineart!

The lineart has folders of different things that can be altered on the body. This lineart test offers:

Warmup: 4.4.17 // Glass Towers

I had a dream last night where I was watching this animal in third person view.

There where these just reall tall glass tower box things and it was the remains of the world falling apart and the only safe space was on top of the glass towers since there was a huge storm ripping the world apart but the glass spires kept growing and they actually were inside othe storm so I'm guessing it was some hurricane because like, an eye of the storm and stuff was calm.

It was kind of a pretty scary ...

Ankh Blessing: Process

This was an actually rather quick thing to get done! I got it in 6 hours which is probably my fastest yet with this painting style and it's nice! ;A;

Sketch:

Loosely planned out expression and eye placement.

Lineart + Flat Colour:

I did some simple and clean lineart, nothing too major as it would just be a guideline for our painting and getting a better idea of form. I then laid down the flat colours of the character and got the markings.

Mark Smith Painted

This one has been beating my butt for quiet a while. The biggest challenge in this was because this is such a one-toned character (mostly white) that it made my choices in lighting and colouring a little tricky.

I lost my sketch/process layers in the process of making this as the file was getting too big to handle without sai crashing on me. But we can still talk about the process!

His Flower Process

A big picture that got a little lagged down as I worked on it during streaming ^~^ I naturally slow down a lot when I'm streaming and working on art so this took about 10 hours to stream to completion.

Sketch:

Quickly skeched out a vanashing point of which to lay clouds upon for a perspective of a vast sky above the future trees. Cleaned up the body sketch to get a better idea of anatomy and position.

This was a blast to work on and really practice some new stuff.

We roughly laid out anatomy front and back as well as planned out a fully clothed view of the character as well as setting up neatly organized places for the headshots of expression, the name of the character, information of the character, and his colour palette.

Process To Pose

This was a commission and I did accidentally delete the sketch later before I remembered to save a copy of it for posting the full process to which I sincerely apologize!

Sergal Lineart

I really enjoyed working on the lineart of this and I was focusing a lot more on thinner lines than I normally do. I do believe I will continue with the thinner lineart for a while.

Momobeda Animation Welcome

I figured I should actually make a welcome onto the youtube as animation goes so I fleshed out some storyboarding for this animation to be done.

I'll be animating Momo talking (I'll voice him) as he explains what art and animation means to him and what he plans to do as a creator in the future. All Patrons will be given special thanks in the video and so on for every video in the future as well!

This was originally a commission for a warm-up sketch but I just couldn't stop when I was warming up on it and it turned into this. At least the commissioner didn't mind, haha!

On the plus side: This has helped me try something knew with a bluring technique around the edges. I did however screw it up a bit as you can kind of tell with the white glow on the one side, but it was too far back in history for me to undo it.

FWA 2017 Poster Wip: Heros

Sketched out the general poses for our Heros on their Quest!

I'll slowly be working on penciling in their gear as the time goes on which is actually pretty hard for me to decide on regardless of hair design choices. I say.

I do admit, I have loosely based some clothing off of well known video game characters so far. Flathead Character Sheet

I finished a character sheet and thought I should show my anatomy as well as the full character it was created for!

I've always had a huge love for drawing bodies and people in general so I was super pleased to hear that the commissioner wished for a more human body down toe the hands and feet! FWA2017 Game On Poster

This is our first initial sketch for the FWA 2017 Theme: Game On for a video game theme! :> We have roughly sketched out the layout and now I'm going to be working on our Heroes more and finish that before finishing our rendition of the boss and then we'll be moving on into colour.
