I rarely listen to music, even if I still have a huge collection of CDs at home.
Some days ago I tried to listen to one CD after a very long time; I tried it with my portable Panasonic bought in 1992, but it didn't work; I tried another portable unit that used to be of my mother, but that didn't work either; I din't even try the Aiwa Hi-Fi CD player I was gifted in 2017, because that stopped working years ago.
There is only one solution if I want to listen to my CDs, buy another play...

Having so many pictures to choose from, gives me the luxury of choosing also the less spectacular ones, those that are never going to make it in the top 5, or the top 20 of the entire shooting.
But who cares, I can post all of the 416 pictures of Karina, given the right amount of time.
And I like this one because it is not the most obvious pose, but it works well, even if you don't see her eyes, you're missing one boob, and one arm is hidden behind the body.

Younger generations are not much into cars or motorbikes, especially those living in large cities.
But in this case I don't care if Ania is into cars, it is enough for me to see her ON my car, and how that red bonnet gets polished by her n4ked skin.
The shine where she rubbed against the matt finish of the old paint lasted for weeks after hour shooting, and I smiled every time I noticed it during the following days.

I admit the plant in the foreground is false, no organic plant could live in a photographic studio, it is just there to provide color and interest to the pictures.
But my models are real, that's for sure, those eyes that are looking at us through my camera are genuine, and so are the emotions filtering down to us.

Whilst Dottir and I were shooting far up on the last floor of the Da Vinci hotel, at the ground floor, in front of the main entrance, another photographer was taking pictures of a bride, with an enormous white dress spilling all over the stairs.

I have forgotten about my fascination for wider lens apertures lately, this was the first time I was using the Voigtländer Nokton 58mm f1.4 SL II and I enjoyed experimenting, but nowadays I prefer slightly narrower apertures.

Snapping away is not the best option, I prefer to reflect every time I'm in front of my models, and I try to take advantage of whatever suggestions the location is providing.
Reflecting surfaces are as important as reflecting brains for creativity, and I would love to take credit for this picture, but the truth is that every picture is an alchemy between 3 elements: the location, the photographer, and the model.

You can detect a good model when you cut her options.
No furniture, no dresses or lingerie, no jewelry, nothing to play or interact with.
This is a floor routine, in an empty corner, and just a carpet so as not to feel the cold floor in Winter.
This is the situation where lesser models could crumble, but inspired professional models shine.

With the last shootings I made, I'm practicing retouching the photos directly on the new MacBook and in Lightroom.

I love the spontaneity of younger models, because they are not used to pretend, less expert in posing a better version of themselves, they look more natural, albeit more awkward at times

Ada came from far away, and bloody trains were late, so much so that we had few time together, less than the planned 3 hours for sure.
But I was happy to get my chance to work with her anyway, at least for that one time, because she was a unique model and gave an important contribution to the Bramley Apple Project.

In most women, there is a natural tendency to seduce, being that a conscious or unconscious process.
Probably this tendency is stronger if you have been modelling for years, and you understood this is getting you more jobs.

I don't like to have anything between me and my models, but sometimes a frame, a glass or a mirror, can add interest to the photo, and it is worth exploring to avoid boredom.
This is a good example where the disturbing element in the foreground in making the composition more interesting/dynamic and is not damaging the quality of the image beyond a tolerable threshold.

I learned this new word by looking at a TV series, a variant of "lockdown" we are used to from our Covid period.

It has been a long time since I showed you a watch from my collection, and this is the last arrival, an everyday beater, the modern version of the other “aged” bronze Laco I showed you frequently.

Space was limited on that kitchen top, but Martina manages to make it look comfortable nevertheless.
On Saturday, I took my older 2018 MacBook Pro to the Apple shop in order to get it fixed, and the battery appeared to be the only problem with it.
