Martina's Friday.

As there is not a lot of work in my factory this year, few orders overall and our warehouse is already full of products, my Christmas holidays are starting today, until January 7.
So I should have plenty of time to work on my photography.

For today I've selected 3 photos from shooting number 16 with Martina, on December 2022, so 3 years ago.

DSLR.

Digital Single Lens Reflex cameras were the pinnacle of development of the previous generation of capturing devices, and they can still hold their ground before the last generation Mirrorless.
The 3 photos of Klara today have been shot on my Nikon D810, after this model Nikon released an even better one, the D850, but the D810 was (and still remains) a capable tool.
36 MP are still impressive for current standards and, with a flash off camera, this gear can still teach a thing or two to...

Dreaming about 2026.

2025 was an year without Dottir, both our shootings were in 2024, but we had none this year!
Possibly it is because I have lost my IG account and we lost contact, but in 2026 I will do my best to fix this issue, and we're already in contact once more.
I love this model, and I hope next year I can take her in one of my new desolate locations, because I'm sure she is going to infuse her own unique recipe to make some unforgettable pictures.

Light sensitive.

The last photos of Anna I shot on this day in Brescia were in the kitchen, in this sequence with the direct sunlight coming from the window.
The harsh light may do a disservice to older women, but not a young and beautiful model like Anna.

The future of AI

I am changing my idea about AI of late.
I was worried about it destroying regular photography and my work at large, but now I don't think it is going to be so dramatic.
Surely AI is going to change our lives in many ways, but people interested in creative human products will soon get bored with it, and go back to traditional art forms made by humans for other humans.
I expect AI to end up the same way as NFT and Metaverse, as a bottomless pit for careless investors.

Transfiguration.

I managed only 2 shootings during this first year in the Ex Manicomio di Monbello, Elfa and Maria, unfortunately the shooting with Barbora was rerouted...
Between Elfa and Maria, the interpretation of this derelict place couldn't be more different.
Elfa was composed and serious, possibly also afraid ab out people coming in from the door in the background; Maria was playful and enthusiast, with the careless attitude I love about her.

And this is my luck, because every model brings ...

Dark sun.

July 2023, on the Adda river nudist beach with Rabbit, I was using various cameras, but today I've selected 3 photos shot with the Leica SL2-S + the Contax-Zeiss Sonnar T* 85mm f2.8.
I like keeping these images captured in full sunlight pretty dark with rich shadows and no harsh highlights.
Even if it is not advisable to shoot in full sunlight, it is rewarding for me to crush the rules, and I love the results.

Synchro.

After a couple of weeks of neglected models, I'm going back to synchronizing my post on various platforms with the same model and shooting, at least on the four days I'm posting everywhere.
We start today with Hilary C. in the corridor of our hotel room in Milan.
This hotel is my favorite because of the large rooms, said to be about 30 square meters, compared with the cramped rooms of other hotels measuring only 15 / 17 square meters.

Fishing out Ania from the river.

It's incredible how refined photos on the Adda river nudist beach can look, as long as you place the model in the shadow, it isa almost like shooting in a studio.
And Ania feels at home in this natural habitat.

NEW #BRAMLEYAPPLE BLOSSOMING ON THE 🍏 TREE…

Everything got wrong yesterday.
There was so much traffic when I left home with the car, that I turned back home (having lost 1 hour in the process) to get the bike instead.
I had difficulty in starting the bike because it is rarely used, but finally I managed and got to Milan in record time, half an hour before my appointment with Lia.

But my punctuality was of little use, as she was 4 hours late.
It was a pity because it turned out to become a beautiful sunny day, but we mana...

The Myth of Narcissus.

This is that delicate moment when both the model and the photographer may still feel some initial embarrassment, but at least we were in a safe place.

It takes some special models to make me shoot during Winter.

This was another far from ideal shooting, in a dark Milan apartment during a rainy October morning, with Dottir that looked so different from the goddess I met just few months before, but she is still a great lady and model!
Sometimes I get spoiled by always wanting the ideal situations, instead I should be happy for every opportunity to work with such delightful creatures.

With Sugar in a restaurant.

This abandoned restaurant was not a very good place to shoot, too dark, but with the mighty Nikon D810 and the strong light from the flash I did manage to get some good pictures.
Not my style of pictures, but sometimes I have to bring home the result.

You never forget the first time.

On May 2025 I met the first time with Barbora and, even if it would be easy to overlook this first shooting after having made the one in August, in her Italian house no less, our first encounter has been a masterpiece.
Both of us were more daring during this first shooting, and results are incandescent.
On the second shooting we had to give up the Asylum, she was relaxed at home, and I was exhausted after 3 days with Maria, so we just followed the flow of our creative bond.

This is only the second color picture I'm showing from my shooting in the Ex Manicomio di Monbello with Maria, and both were for my Patreon Community alone.
Decaying locations are a huge inspiration, especially when I'm working with models willing to get dirty if it is necessary to create art.
That's why I have left the spider webs she is proudly wearing in her hair, retouching them would have betrayed her commitment to the cause.

In nature.

It is prettier to lay your model on the grass, but the skin is bound to attract some dirt and specs.
I don't mind, it is part of the natural charm of candid pictures, so I usually don't retouch them.
If you feel the urge to remove this blade of grass with your hand it is normal, I feel the same impulse when I'm there with the models, purely for professional reasons of course, but I try to resist.
The best option is to put a blanket on the ground, so the model stays clean, but it does...

Another future mother...

Not sure if Lauretta's baby has been born yet, but if not it is on its way.
I'm afraid she is going to use the washing machine more in the near future... and I hope she is going to enjoy her new role in life.
I am grateful we have the chance to look back at these photos and remind ourselves how seductive this woman was during our first and last encounter.
The Bramley Apple project is about preserving a moment in time, the beauty of young women captured in images, a priceless document...

Unrelated.

Karina is still an exclusive model for Patreon, and I will keep her as such, for the moment.

Monochrome Saturday with Maria in Consonno.

The files from the M10 Monochrom are sensational, but I think this are files I will never be satisfied with, because depending on my mood, or my experience, I might want to give more interpretations to every image in the future.

Hiding in plain sight.

There is a lot you can do to change photos, make them ore legible in the most important areas, but photography is as much about hiding than it is about showing, so in the sequence of 3 photos I selected for today, from April 2021, you will see Martina partially hidden by her own limbs or by shadows, and yet, everyone of these photos is showing just enough to remind us why we love so much this model.
I would be impossible to summarize the complexity of such a complex woman in a single photo...

Just another brick wall.

Uploading on BentBox has become more difficult of late, I found that out on Friday, when I tried to upload the whole shooting of Elfa in the Ex Manicomio di Monbello, and the upload lasted until Sunday evening.
The new requirements are asking to upload also the full documentation about the model and photographer, with the relative learning curve.

I'm happy to say everything worked out well, so now I have 5 more boxes on my profile.
